The couple that run the campground were very friendly, welcoming, and kind. The campground was wonderful, clean, and the staff was nice. Laundry and Bathroom were super clean and updated nicely! Campsites were nice, had picnic tables and fire pits. Asked for firewood and they were very accommodating and brought it to me. The game room and beach was super fun and nice. Would recommend to anyone! So much fun and very nice

Chestnut Ridge is a fantastic campground. Denise and Don are great hosts. So much so, we became friends and went out to dinner a couple of times. They manage this beautiful park in a no-nonsense way, which we loved. They don’t allow loud parties and other things that infringe on your peaceful stay. If you’re looking for a nice, quiet park, this is it. The pond is large and full of fish (Catch-and-release only) and there is a separate area where you can take a peaceful walk along the trees. Water, electric and septic, all worked perfectly. They have a laundromat on-site, as well. Don’t miss out on this gem in NE Ohio. They are perfectly located between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. We found a ton of outdoor things to do and stayed busy, the whole 6 weeks we stayed. There are plenty of fabulous state parks within a 45-minute drive of this park. Stay here!

We found this place accidentally when my husband‘s semi broke down. What a great find . This campground is so quiet and beautifully manicured. The owners are so nice and considerate and friendly. We stayed in the tent camping area and the sites are under huge, beautiful, mature trees, and in a grassy area. It’s just perfect. The sites have nice large picnic tables and a fire pit. There is actually a gray water dump down there that you would dump your gray water in.There is a little stream running along the tent area. The tent sites are tucked away by themselves and is exactly what we wanted. There’s no dirt you were actually camping on grass. Unfortunately, we were here the last weekend before they close or I would be back many more times this season . I’m looking forward to coming back when they open in May 2026 for that season. You will not go wrong here if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in a beautiful campground. David and Kimberly Mathai

We stayed at Chestnut Ridge RV Park and were very impressed from start to finish. The park itself is scenic and well-maintained, with plenty of greenery that makes it feel peaceful and relaxing. The staff were wonderful—friendly, approachable, and very responsive in their communication. From making our reservation to checking in, everything was clear and easy. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and felt welcome. The sites were easy to get in and out of, which made setting up and packing up stress-free. The layout of the park is thoughtful, with wide access and good spacing. It was also nice to see that the facilities were kept clean and in good condition. Overall, this park made our trip smooth and enjoyable despite the weather. Between the beautiful surroundings, the excellent staff, and the convenience of the park itself, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chestnut Ridge RV Park to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-run place to stay.

Wow! What a find. This campground is beautiful! You have everything a camper needs. Nice lake you can fish at with a great playground and game room for the kids. There's pavilions, corn hole and even a barn you can rent for events, which we we're able to get a sneak peak at as they were setting up for a wedding this past weekend, Beautiful! Definitely definitely will be returning to this Gem!!! Owners Denise and Don are so friendly and out going. Stopped and talked with us multiple times checking to see if we needed anything. You don't find that often. If you want a beautiful relaxing setting book a spot here and see for yourself. You'll be a return camper too. Thank you Denise and Don for a great stay. We stayed at Chestnut Ridge Campground in our 34' travel trailer and I have to say this is a lovely pristine campground. It is in a quaint neighborhood with beautiful homes and landscapes. The campground's green space is so vast and well taken care of. They have a large pond with a small beach, playgrounds, game room, barn with wedding venues and many Canadian geese, I even saw some beavers. Our campsite was a pull thru with nice grass and gravel and we appreciated no dirt. Don the owner was very gracious and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely returned to this campground in our travels around this area again.

This campground is always kept so very nice, clean and neat. Everyone is so very friendly and welcoming. Our children always say they have a great time each time we visit and are asking to go back! The events that are held at this location are always very family friendly and have a great response from everyone! We drive 4 1/2 hours each way to spend a weekend here because of how much our family enjoys this place! The owners take pride in their campground and are great! If we didn't live so far from here, we would definitely do a seasonal campsite here! I highly suggest this place to anyone that enjoys camping!!

Needed a place to camp for a couple of days. My daughter lives close to the campground and was having a family get together to celebrate the forth of July. The campground was well kept. Grass was cut. Bath house was clean and looked like a new floor. Many new upgrades. We will definitely stay here again when visiting my daughter.

What a beautiful, peaceful campground. The owners are so sweet and helpful. Our son loved the fishing and had a lot of luck catching them. (catch and release). Paddle boats were a lot of fun. Lots of places to ride bicycles. The grounds are very well kept. We had a full hook up spot and no issue's. I would definitely recommend bringing your family. We will definitely be back!

Loved this beautiful, peaceful area! I enjoy the sound of the train, the birds, and geese family's. Don an Dennis were super friendly. Grounds very nice, wooded, a few ponds. My only suggestion is be sure your hot water heater is working in your camper, cold shower on a chilly morning was quite the eye opener. Bath house very clean but chilly. Close to interstate, an a great little train , 50's style home cooking diner called Rhondas emerald diner we loved! Looking forward to returning again, the area is lovely. Hopefully next time they will have climate control an warm water in the ladies room at least. Very nice property! Pet friendly. Definitely recommend Chestnut Ridge. Thanks for the hometown hospitality!

Staff at the main entrance are rude and inconsiderate. Lady at the front talks to you like a child - extremely immature and unprofessional. Dirty lake and campgrounds. Save your money.

Nice location, super close to I80 for travelling, beautiful lake for swimming (mucky bottom - water shoes highly recommended) and fishing (catch and release only but we caught several.) Lots of playground equipment and a decent game room for the kids. Restrooms are a bit dated and could be a little smelly, not unusual for a campground, and no problem if you're travelling with an RV/trailer. Cute tent sites across a bridge and segregated from the RVs if you're looking for tent camping. NO CHECK-INS AFTER DARK.

Start off with how nice the owners are at this campground! When I called to make the reservation for the same day, the lady was so nice over the phone. When I got here, she wasn't in the office but her husband got me all checked in & showed me to my site. Later she came by the site to say hello. Very personable couple, & they take care & run this whole 55 acre campground all on their own! It's a beautiful campground! Very clean! Only a couple miles off the interstate. Huge lake. This is just an overnight stay for me (in my tent), but wish I could've stayed at least another day!

Just love camping here. Very family friendly, grounds are very well kept up and bathroom are clean. Showers are nice also. You can also swim, fish, and rent a paddle boat for on the lake. Also has a game room. You can feel safe and the speed limit is 5 mph to keep the people safe. There is seasonal, RV, and tent camping spots. Each spot has plenty of room and you have a fire ring and picnic table. Just take a grate with you to cook over the fire ring. They sell wood and ice there also. They have corn hole, horseshoes, basketball hoop, and a well kept playground.

Love this campsite! Great place to take the family! Clean & quite. Love that everyone drives real slow (5mph) because there are little kids around. Beautiful property all around. We're definitely coming back! If you don't feel like camping overnight, they have daily rates too! Highly recommend!
