Primitive Campers listen up :) (note for day hiking or MTN biking this place is amazing) So back to primitive camping. First, the light pollution here is a 6.1 because of its proximity to Auburn. Also, you can hear the interstate from the campground. Love hearing trucks downshift all night? Well then this is the place for you. Overall the campground is great. Bath houses are great. The Primitive sites don't have a bath house but you have to choose one of the RV sites. Thing is there's no direct trail to the bath houses so you have to walk through someone else's campsite. The good news is that there were only 2 people in the primitive sites. Not really surprised though. Again light pollution, road noise and no water or power. Also, there's almost no privacy because the campsites are super smacked together. The other issue is that the light from the RV dump station pours right into campground so not only is it loud but also I didn't need a flash light at night. Also, RVs like why do you need a light on all night?? It's hard to see when there's a spot light in my face. Like why isn't the primitive sites like Blakely and in a more secluded area? Oh and if it couldn't be worse the Auburn airport is so close by I heard planes like even the single prop loud ones flying overhead. Again. Waterfall. Great. Campground great. Bath houses great. MTN biking. Great. Light pollution, privacy, noise level and amenities is just terrible. So basically if you want to save some money feel free to tent camp. Otherwise just spend the day or glamp in a cabin or an RV.

Very quiet park, hard to believe it is so close to Auburn. For the most part the camp spots are pretty level except for the 3 pull thru spots in the second loop. They are level but on a little hill and share a combined exit. Gravel lots with full hookups

My wife and I go hiking here regularly and it is a beautiful area. I have gone hiking here for years and have always enjoyed swimming in its different areas and walking through the trees. There is so much exploring to do throughout all the seasons.

Exceptional personnel working, always kind with a smile. RV parking spaces were great. Some parking spots were on a slight incline, but for the most part, level. Very quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
