Went during October. Lots of activities for the kids. Camp site decoration competitions each weekend (for Halloween). Trick or treating, hay rides, etc. Fire wood delivery to the site. Bathrooms are clean. Cabin was nice. Had heat and AC if needed, a mini fridge and electricity.

We stayed here in a 5th wheel, our site had a fire pit, a dog pen and flower box. The park was decorated for Halloween. The park is clean and has a great playground with plenty of things for kids to do. They also have a mini golf course as well. Bathrooms and showers were clean and maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed for one night. The staff are friendly. The location while remote from many things to do around the Chicago area except for the train museum is quiet. Unfortunately as others have commented the water is brownish and smells of rust. It’s likely iron from rusting pipes that while not necessarily a health risk is not something that’s palatable to most. Definitely didn’t drink it. We fortunately travel with jugs of water just in case we find issues with water at campgrounds. Because of the water we won’t stay again nor recommend it to others.

Stayed in a “Rustic Cabin”. It was nice to have the AC on the humid days we stayed. Lots of activities for kids. People staying at other spots were very kind. Staff was helpful and quick. The only reason for only 4 stars is that the pool definitely could use a few updates, due to peeling spots on the pool walls. Would definitely come stay again.

Brought my kids here camping for their first time and they had a blast! The grate to cook on over the fire pit was good enough to cook on after cleaning it, heating it, and oiling it. The bathrooms are clean and are checked on a schedule. The pool looks nice, especially for a campsite, however, it was early in the season so it was cold. The text message system for wood delivery and other items from the store is nice. They had activities for the kids and we all had a nice time! It is gated. The staff is cruising around often and the grounds are clean and well maintained. I will go back for sure! Bravo to the KOA staff for being friendly, helpful, and keeping the place tidy.

My little girls first time camping and she enjoyed it sooooo much. The staff were super friendly, the lady who works here and only lives 10 minutes away but stays on the camp was out of this world amazing!!! She catered for my little girls allergies and went above and beyond what I would ever expect. The camp was super clean and tidy. To other reviews I do agree that some equipment is a little older and slightly run down but it is all functional and has no negative effects on the fun you can have as a family!! Everything is inclusive so yes things are a little older but you are paying $40 for a night and you don’t have to pay for the facilities, in comparison to great Wolf lodge with the amenities it is $300 a night cheaper. I will definitely return it was great fun! Set your expectations reasonable it is superior value!

Above and beyond. This was our first time here, but won’t be our last. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. While although the office was closed due to COVID, they have text direct to staff and everything we needed was delivered within minutes to our site and simply charged to the card on file. Being first time campers with small children we thought we were prepared, and were wrong! The staff helped get our fire started, and going, and even lent some of their personal equipment for breakfast. Tons of activities for the family, clean restrooms, and well maintained throughout. Thank you so much for the great memories!

This is a VERY NICE KOA! It's laid out really great with lots of pull through sites. Super clean with lots of kid stuff for the little ones.

Some of the amenities can use an upgrade or repair (jump pillow, miniature golf) but they still had plenty of other things to do and fun activities for the kids. We all really enjoyed the "all you can eat" ice cream social. The kids loved the scavenger hunt and the nighttime flashlight candy hunt. We had one of the narrow sites but it was bigger than we'd expected and we were to set up everything very comfortably. The main reason for the 5 stars though is because of how friendly, attentive, and helpful the staff was. Just a great bunch of people who looked like they really liked their jobs. It was our first time here and we'll definitely be back!
