Went during October. Lots of activities for the kids. Camp site decoration competitions each weekend (for Halloween). Trick or treating, hay rides, etc. Fire wood delivery to the site. Bathrooms are clean. Cabin was nice. Had heat and AC if needed, a mini fridge and electricity.

We stayed here in a 5th wheel, our site had a fire pit, a dog pen and flower box. The park was decorated for Halloween. The park is clean and has a great playground with plenty of things for kids to do. They also have a mini golf course as well. Bathrooms and showers were clean and maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed for one night. The staff are friendly. The location while remote from many things to do around the Chicago area except for the train museum is quiet. Unfortunately as others have commented the water is brownish and smells of rust. It’s likely iron from rusting pipes that while not necessarily a health risk is not something that’s palatable to most. Definitely didn’t drink it. We fortunately travel with jugs of water just in case we find issues with water at campgrounds. Because of the water we won’t stay again nor recommend it to others.

Stayed in a “Rustic Cabin”. It was nice to have the AC on the humid days we stayed. Lots of activities for kids. People staying at other spots were very kind. Staff was helpful and quick. The only reason for only 4 stars is that the pool definitely could use a few updates, due to peeling spots on the pool walls. Would definitely come stay again.

Brought my kids here camping for their first time and they had a blast! The grate to cook on over the fire pit was good enough to cook on after cleaning it, heating it, and oiling it. The bathrooms are clean and are checked on a schedule. The pool looks nice, especially for a campsite, however, it was early in the season so it was cold. The text message system for wood delivery and other items from the store is nice. They had activities for the kids and we all had a nice time! It is gated. The staff is cruising around often and the grounds are clean and well maintained. I will go back for sure! Bravo to the KOA staff for being friendly, helpful, and keeping the place tidy.
