My Wife and I are always on the lookout for new hiking spots in your county! Exploring different trails keeps things exciting and helps us fully appreciate the varied landscapes that the local area has to offer. We stumbled upon a particularly scenic and enjoyable hike recently - it is a perfect way to spend a weekend outdoors!

This place is a refreshing natural grassland that we need more of in this state. It's got a public trap range, camp sites, several trails, both wooded and through prairies with one being a mile long and graveled. Let's get more of this and less GMO soy and cornfields, Iowa. Also, be aware that this place floods during periods of heavy rainfall.

Very nice park for camping and birdwatching. Quiet, maintained, beautiful. Clean bathroom/shower. Occasional nature programs.

Great place to find water birds, especially herons. Sightings include Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, and Yellow-crowned Night-Heron

Went for a feild trip. Had an amazing time. The staff and volunteers are very nice and kind. The camping facility seems quite nice. There is also plenty of space for all sorts of activities. Only thing that was bad was the overgrown weeds in the oxbow lake.

Such a great family-friendly hiking/camping spot. An easy go-to for getting our kiddos out on a trail. Fantastic bird-watching. We ran into someone who said he counted 43 different bird species in one day!
