China Flat Campground

Awesome, no reservations required campground. Most sites have a good amount of shade and come with a pedestal grill, fire pit and table. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon in July and got the 2nd to last spot. Nearby river is great for relaxing. Vault toilets were always stocked. No campfires were allowed due to a nearby wildfire so check the forest website for the latest fire restrictions. Sites on the opposite side of the river away from the road are not accessible by car so you'll have to park and walk your stuff over a bridge. Camp host and their dogs were super friendly. We used site 1 and there was room for 3-4 tents in the flat site and had shade most of the day. Extra parking spots were next to us in case you have more than 2 cars.

Lots of fun with family and friends. No campfires right now due to the fires in California. Propane fire pits are accepted. Sites are clean and roomy. Dry camping only. No hookups. No internet. Just good old fashion camping under the stars.. River access and fishing. Friendly camp hosts.

This is THE cleanest campground I've ever been to! We stayed in #1, which i wasn't happy about at first. But it wss refreshingly quiet for being the site every single person has to drive by going in or out. I love it!! I'm definitely going there again. The hosts are incredibly nice and helpful!

Awesome place to camp with our family. We went fishing, hiking and rafting. We had a great time. We had campfires every night in the campfire rings every site has. We bought the wood bundles from the camp host for $8. Majority of their campsites are big with plenty of room for a couple large or small tents. There are non flushing toilets. They allow 6 people per site. No extra charge for an additional vehicle. China Flat is a fun place to camp.
