Chokoloskee Island Resort
Overview
Chokoloskee Island Resort offers a unique getaway at the southernmost point of Florida’s Gulf Coast. This well-maintained destination serves as a bridge between modern comfort and the untamed wilderness of the Everglades. Visitors will find a peaceful tropical atmosphere where the pace of life slows down significantly. As a premier choice for those exploring the Ten Thousand Islands, the resort provides a specialized environment tailored toward outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate a blend of convenience and natural beauty.
Location & Surroundings
Located on the historic Chokoloskee Island, the resort is surrounded by the shallow, nutrient-rich waters of Chokoloskee Bay. The park is accessed via a small causeway from Everglades City, placing guests in one of the most secluded coastal regions in Florida. The landscape is dominated by mangrove forests and expansive water views, providing a dramatic backdrop for spectacular sunrises and sunsets. It is an area defined by its connection to the water and its rich history of pioneer fishing culture.
Amenities & Park Features
The resort features full-hookup RV sites with level concrete pads to accommodate various rig sizes. Because water activities are central to the experience, guests have access to a private marina and boat ramp, making it easy to launch right from the property. After a long day on the water, the fish-cleaning station and refreshing swimming pool provide essential utility and relaxation. Other practical amenities include clean bathhouses, laundry facilities, and high-speed internet access to keep travelers connected while staying in the remote backcountry.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The primary draw is the proximity to Everglades National Park, where visitors can explore endless paddling trails and observe diverse wildlife like manatees and roseate spoonbills. Anglers can spend days navigating the backcountry for snook, redfish, and tarpon. For a different perspective, guided airboat tours nearby offer a high-speed look at the river of grass. History buffs should visit the Smallwood Store, a former trading post turned museum that captures the rugged spirit of the island’s early settlers.
Who This Park Is Best For
This resort is ideal for passionate anglers and boaters who want direct access to some of the best fishing grounds in the world. It also appeals to nature photographers and birders seeking rare species in their natural habitats. Those who prefer a quiet, low-key environment over high-energy tourist hubs will find the island’s tranquility refreshing. It is best suited for RVers who value functional amenities and a location that prioritizes immersion in the Florida wilderness.

Great place for fishing and to relax. Very friendly owner, he helps you, if you‘re not so used to fishing rod and gives you tips, how to catch a fish. There is also a grill to use and a big Outdoor table. Very nice place! 👍 We were here with the RV for two days and would come back any time again 😃

Chokoloskee RV Park is hands down one of the most beautiful and serene places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment you pull in, you’re greeted with well-kept grounds, spotless facilities, and the peaceful vibe of Old Florida. It’s quiet, relaxing, and has that “hidden gem” charm that makes you want to extend your stay. The amenities are excellent — clean restrooms, full hookups, shaded spots, and everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. The park is perfectly located for fishing, boating, or just soaking in the stunning sunsets over the water. The dock access makes it a fisherman’s dream — whether you’re chasing snook, redfish, or just enjoying a peaceful morning on the water. What really sets this park apart is the atmosphere. It’s calm, friendly, and absolutely gorgeous. You’ll see beautiful wildlife, feel the coastal breeze, and enjoy the kind of peace and quiet you don’t often find anymore. If you’re looking for a place that combines beauty, comfort, and world-class fishing in one unforgettable setting — Chokoloskee RV Park is it. We couldn’t recommend it more highly and can’t wait to come back!

Everything was amazing, the location and charm!! Except the property manager Chris’s pushy, rude bossy wife! She doesn’t even work there and she runs around like she owns the place. She made us question if we want to go again. She needs to stay in her damn lane. Chris was awesome! We will be reporting her to the main company!

We absolutely LOVED our stay! This is definitely a hidden gem! 💎 We came to celebrate our 10 year anniversary last month and from the moment we came we were warmly greeted. Chris, Debbie and staff are exceptional. True meaning of hospitality. It's a quiet place, perfect if you want some relaxation and getting away from your usual city life. We stayed in lucky #7 and it was beautiful 😍 Very clean and comfy! They even surprised us with a bottle of Champagne 🍾 😊 Thanks again for the excellent stay and service, we will definitely be back!

This place is very isolated from everything but awesome fishing. We stayed in a RV site with water views. Sites are small but exceptionally cared for very neat and clean. The people that work there are awesome friendly and helpful. Nice game room with pool table and ping pong. Good cell signal and wifi to. I would definitely go there again overall great place.
