The Eagle River campground is open and there is road construction in progress. I arrived there at 8pm and there were about 2 sites available. That is because locals arrive early and set up. I stayed close to the river. I also walked down to the day use area and there were 3 groups there, including 2 kayakers. They said the water level is low and you can easily hit the river rocks. Then i walked the trail next to the river up to my campsite. It was a campsite shared by a Colorado Mom and her son from Ft Wainwright and his girlfriend. The temp that night was colder than i expected!
