I love love love this campground. We come here every year. Good luck booking those 4 spots with your own lake access because they reserve quick! 😆 The cabin is absolutely beautiful and well kept.

Run by the U.S. Forest Service, it’s a basic campground for $20 a night. There’s no electricity, water connection or dump station - and no cell phone service. The roads are not paved, and many campers drive too fast and kick up a lot of dust. The campground abuts a pristine lake that’s only accessible via individual picnic tables. There are no trails. Many individual sites are shortened by placing two rocks in the driveway, reducing privacy for large RVs. We won’t be back.

Well established camp sites along with many day use picnic area with fire pits. Amazing view of the bluish green glacier waters that flow into the lake.

Such a great campground with clean bathrooms. The public cabin is definitely worth booking, and has direct lake access. There are several loops of campsites with different features (river vs lake), so take the time to look around before picking your spot.

Can be busy during around 4th of July with events in Seward happening. Has typical amenities, bathrooms and water available. Tables in the sites are new and look nice. Expect typical campground noise of RV generators and people just enjoying a fire. Sites are spacious, won't feel cramped. Day use spots are next to the lake.

Camped at the Trail River Campground for five nights. Was at #66 on the Eagle Point Loop. Campsites were very private, with vault toilets and water pumps nearby. Some sites had bear boxes, but most do not. The lake was accessible by a trail by site 73. Luckily there was no bear activity reported. Would love to come back here again and stay at one of the Campsites with lake access.

Booked and paid for a spot months ago online to spend my birthday out camping. Arrived to the location to find out it was right beside a bathroom that smelled and was emanating odor at the camp site. Spoke with the host about either canceling the reservation, or paying for a separate 'first come, first served' site and not getting a refund for the other site. There were several open sites at this time. Host said they preferred not, since others might want to camp there for the full weekend since we were only going to be there until Saturday. We won't be visiting this campground again and are disappointed that the host chose not to be flexible. We left and camped someplace else where there was open availability and nice campsites.

Large park with big rig friendly campsites. On Kenai lake! A great place for kayaking, reading a book on the shore or just soaking up the beautiful big Alaska views.

The road back to the camp ground has a lot of very large pot holes, so be on the look out! We stayed at site #70 and it was a 5 second walk to the lake. I suggest looking up their site map before booking, some sites are not near the lake or river. Nice and private sites, beautiful view just steps away from our site,

Edness

Perfect place to unwind and disconnect from the world. There is absolutely no cellular phone service which makes it perfect especially for kids. This is one of our favorite places.

Kenai Lake is beautiful. The camp hosts are doing an excellent job of cleaning the bathrooms every day with bleach (cleanest campground bathrooms I've ever seen). There were more camp spaces available than what appears online. Dog friendly. There was white noise (either from the river or traffic, not sure). I prefer some white noise. Would stay again. 30 minutes or less to Seward.
