It's right on the mighty Mississippi River! And you can watch the barges maneuver into and out of the lock. The location is a great basecamp for exploring the surrounding area. The town of Canton has a couple nice places to eat, a friendly library, and a good laundry.

If you like to fish, probably a good spot. Also probably a great spot for summertime party. The spots have a concrete pad making setting up easy. The spaces are very tight to your neighbors. No full service bathrooms only portapotties. There is an old school play ground for the kiddos. It’s a one way traffic spot so it seemed locals come there to hang out, which wasn’t peaceful. The biggest issue was being next to the train tracks, so if you are a light sleeper, pass. For the price and view though, I think it’s worth it. Most spots do not have a fire pit, so bring something for your fire

RV sites or you might call them spaces (but to be honest we’ve stayed at KOAs that were tighter)just about as close to the river as you can get. Twenty three sites total, 17 are Full hookups rest are water and electric. We had full hookups all worked as the should. All sites are back in on concrete pads with 20/30/50 amp electric. NO restrooms or laundry, they do provide decent WiFi. Dump station and dumpster are available. Playground for the kids. Just a few hundred yards down from the lock and dam great for viewing any barge traffic.

About the closest you can get to the Mississippi River and a lock and dam. Wide open campground, flat concrete pads, somewhat close together.

Nice place for an overnight stay. But if your dog is afraid of loud noises, the train will be a problem. It is VERY loud.

Beautiful view of the Mississippi River and Dam. The sunrises are top-notch 👌. It has 22 campsites with concrete pads, water, a bumping station, and a dumpster. It has no bathroom facilities or showers. Good spot for fishing. Just be nice to the locals 😉

Great place to camp and for kids something to watch going up and down the river.

Nice campground right on the river. 22 sites with concrete pads, water , picnic tables, fire rings and electric, some with sewer. There is a dump station and trash dumpster. You can make reservations though the police state clerk during business hours. The Mississippi is about 50 yards from the sites so you will be river traffic and it navigates the locks. There is also a train track about 50 yards behind each site, with 5 - 6 trains each day. There are no shower or toilet facilities so you will need to be self contained. When written its $20 per night. Overall a nice stay for several days.

The sites were a little closer than I like, but so worth it to be on the Mississippi and near a lock. Enjoyed watching the barges go through.

Right on the Mississippi River watching tug boats and barges go thru the locks. Great campsite with enough room to leave my 5th wheel hooked up overnight. Full service at some of them. Reserve thru the canton police dept. It's city run and only $20

RAILROAD TRACK....small children and trains are great during the day but not at night...just an unknown detail
