DO NOT SEASONAL CAMP HERE... we have camped here for 6 years.. for 3 of them we LOVED IT when K** owed it.. But when corporate took over ( and mind you I have zero complaints about corporate) why? Because they know nothing of what there GM M******G****** C***** is doing to there seasonal campers... I will only talk about what she personally did to my husband and I... we r a professional santa duo.. we have done on our dime Santa lunches with gifts for every child for the children 5 years. This year she said we can no longer do it... Her excuse she uses is corporate says really corporate dosent even know we do this i have never spoken to corporate) we r insured and background checked she has that on file.. Anyway we went ahead and did the event anyway back at our camper. We have NEVER EVER BEEN IN ANY TROUBLE at clar mar in 6 years.. we received a letter stating we cannot renew this year no explanation no signature...no return phone call from area manager that lives on property. ( she's as bad as M*******) Other people have gotten these letters as well.. what it boils down to if she dont like you your out... tons of people are fleeing from this place trust me they have other plans for this place dont let the fake smile fool you.. let me make clear this is my review and my review only...

Management is rude. They will literally harass you if you don’t leave by the minute of checkout time. And then ask if you have a “card for the gate” and if you do and don’t turn it in will charge you- which I completely understand. But we never received a “card”- so, a little confusing. Maybe take note Of who you give a “card” to Instead of calling and threatening to charge for a card you never gave out? The place is completely unorganized, dirty, and again full of rude staff members. Especially whoever runs management lately. Absolutely no customer service. There’s plenty of campgrounds around locally that are a lot more friendly and accommodating. This one isn’t worth the trip. 👌🏼

We’ve stayed twice this year. The facilities are pretty well kept and clean. Our first stay, Memorial Day weekend (still cool out), There were lots of activities on the grounds. Concerts and games in the pavilion that touts a snack counter and vending. Food , ice cream, and coffee trucks were parked nearby. Lot’s of kids playing volleyball on the sand courts and in the two playground areas near our site. It was a bit cold so the pool was not yet open and inflatables just being put out in the lake (understandable for the unseasonably cold temps this year) On our second stay we had a 10, 12, & 14yo grandkid with us. The younger ones spent all day in the lake on the inflatables and thoroughly enjoyed the time. Life vests are required but available for a $10 daily rental or you can bring your own. We found the pool to be quite small and it best accommodated the smaller children in the park. There is no escaping the sun within the pool area so keeping an eye on them proved difficult and we went back to the lake. There was a movie night on the beach but Luther coordinated events/activities were absent. Both stays we’re in the same spot near the lake and beach area. The staff we encountered were quite welcoming, friendly and helpful. The small store has essentials and kayak rentals. The bath house by the lake is pretty well kept. There are two showers in the men’s room which seemed limited but I never had to wait and plenty of hot water although you have to continually turn it on as it times out. It was nice to stay close to the beach but the common beach/park area next to it could get quite loud and crowded with parents watching kids at the lake from their vehicle/cart. There seems to be a significant number of seasonal campers. Most had exhaust systems on their trucks and carts but those that didn’t were proud of it. Many also had sound systems to blare at the beach. And the lack of sewer in our area caused a constant parade of turd toters past our site. Our first stay we had neighbors that had no sense of camping etiquette with their dogs and kids both unleashed and running through our site perpetually despite my prompting. And someone nearby with horrible music blaring right up to the 11:00 “quiet time” which is a little later than most grounds so there was little of the outdoors to be enjoyed by the campfire that trip. Our second trip was quite a bit better but enforcement of the written rules and maybe a handout at check-in or inclusion of camping etiquette and required maintenance of vehicles would benefit all. Overall this is a beautiful lake area with fishing, boating, paddling, and lake activity. It was quite well filled so obviously very well enjoyed by many.

This is a nice park, but due to poor management makes your camping experience a nightmare. Over Fourth of July weekend power was lost for several hours, making it very unbearable in your camper. Rules only apply to some not to everybody. You have very poor cell service very poor Internet. They do have Internet that you can Purchase which I had a friend do and still could not receive Or send messages. The water pressure in this park is a The water pressure in this park is a Joke. If you plan on washing your hair think again you will have to wait till you get home. I do not have very thick hair and it takes me every bit of five minutes to wash shampoo out of my hair. All in all was very expensive and not a great experience. When I looked up some of the reviews for this park, nine out of the 10 review that were positive are all management or workers that are leaving the positive reviews. I have looked into several other parks found another park with great water pressure much smaller great Internet great cell service friendly management. We’ll take this as a lesson learn and move on.

We rented a deluxe cabin that slept 6. The cabin was beautiful, right on the lake! The only thing I would have liked to have known ahead of time is that the queen bed up in the loft only fits SMALL people or children. Of course that was expected of the bunk beds. Clean cabin, air conditioning, stove burners, microwave, full-size fridge and freezer, shower w/ toiletries, hand towels, all beds have soft sheets, blankets and pillows. Hand soap, toilet paper provided. Plus, all plates, cups and utensils that you would ever need! Just bring your own bath and beach towels! Nice that you won’t need to lug bedding, plates, forks, etc. Every staff member there is super-friendly and nice 👌🏻 We will be back again 😁

Our stay here was awesome! Our campsite rite on the lake was beautiful, the washrooms were clean and well maintained, and the staff wad amazing. Was closing time as got there, and they went out of their way, got us 2 golf carts, and had wood dropped off at our site! So thankful, they are excellent and we'll be back soon!

This was our first year at Claremar as seasonal campers. We love our site and all of the campers around us. Very friendly and always ready to offer a helping hand. We have renewed for next year and can't wait for May to arrive!

We had a great time camping but price gouging is a thing there! We had to pay for family to stay on nights they were not there because they said that’s how there SYSTEM works. They would not refund any money! When we booked our spot she said we needed to pay 9.95 to make sure we keep the spot we booked?? That’s how there SYSTEM works. We have been camping for years and never had to pay extra to keep a spot we reserved!! There SYSTEM is making them a lot of money!! Also at 4 pm we went to the lake and needed a life jacket for my granddaughter for a bit and they charged $10.00!! Craziness I say!! They last campground we were at let everyone use them for free! I also don’t know what they were thinking when they put the pool in.. very long and skinny maybe fit a couple people but not swimmable. Looks like they had more room to make it bigger!! But they do have one😉We did have a great weekend though!! Those are things they need to evaluate and make some changes!! Food truck was great and they had music and things going on which was fun!! The dust was an issue because it was so dry!!

Camped for and extended weekend. Staff was incredibly helpful. Campgrounds were clean and our trailer was spotless. Food Truck was a really really nice amenity. Was so cool to shop for garden fresh produce and Amish fresh baked goods! If you have kids, the beach and water sports area was incredible.
