The camaraderie is awesome! These are party people! The best part is the rentable cabins, the highland cow and the trail around the lake!

Very friendly ladies upfront. I called ahead to secure a spot when they told me about the best spot. Peacocks running about, donkeys, chickens, goats, and even a bull. Stayed in the tent spot nearest to them. Cleanest camp bathrooms I have ever seen.

When I booked this location I looked for you tube videos to see what it was like ... found almost nothing. Checked Google to see any reviews ... found a few there that were good ... so I booked but was still unsure what to really expect. I have to say when I got there to check in I was very very pleasantly satisfied with the service as soon as I got in the office. The ladies were very friendly and made you like you are being welcomed home. Then we got settled onto our campsite and again, the site was awesome. Nice concrete pad, full services including excellent wifi. The rest of the grounds were extremely well kept and the park was situated on a small lake (or large pond) and was very nice relaxing area to take a stroll. On the other side there was a couple barns ... one had chickens and peacocks the other had a couple small horses/mules .... overall we loved visiting and fully expect to come back again!! Thx to park staff for the excellent hospitality!!! See you soon!!

Honestly didn't love it. We camped with our travel trailer along with another couple who had their travel trailer. The campground ended up moving us from the two spots we originally booked. Said something came up, people were on those sites. We were supposed to be on a cement slab and were placed in a grassy area instead. Not a big deal but still was charged the same amount as the cement slab. When we mentioned it they gave us 3 bundles of wood to make up for it but didn't give anything to the couple next to us. Then they put us in an area where there are a line of pines. Made the area a little tight. Not every spot has a picknick table or a firepit. The lake is great and the farm animals were great and the location was good but I wasn't impressed with the campground as a whole and honestly, this is one we will stay away from in the future.

This is my second season at this campground and I hope to continue to keep coming back each year. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond in making sure your stay is enjoyable. The bathrooms are always clean with great warm water for showering. If you want a great up north feel being close to home. This is your ideal place.

I booked the large cabin for Sept 20th in May. My party got COVID and had to cancel 3 days before we were staying. These guys are so nice and caring. I wish we were able to stay. The season is over and I will tell you what. We will be back for sure, This place is very nice and family-owned the owner Micki is very nice and you can tell she cares for her place. I HIGHLY recommend to stay here. I can't wait to stay next year.

I'll just start by saying the #1 reason for my rating is: peacocks! And if you're considering tent camping please read! We were in town for a concert and tent camped early May at one of the rustic campsites - actually located on the opposite side of the property, away from all the pretty stuff I see all of the other reviews mention. There's a level, natural 'platform' with plenty of room for two well-spaced tents (room to spare) and is actually pretty nice. However, we noticed the other patch of sites across the gravel road are on relatively uneven ground and there's only one or two trees to provide shade in the hot summer months. Check in went just fine, although the map and general layout/road names were a little confusing to navigate. No big deal, we figured out where to camp and set up, but pretty quickly we heard the shrill and distinct screech of peacock (sometimes several at once, look it up if you're unfamiliar), this came from the petting zoo within ~100-150 feet of all rustic campsites and on a slope placing it above everything. We both were immediately a little concerned, but oh well, it was only $25 and we figured they would go to sleep, right? Oh well, we were leaving for the concert and wouldn't be back until dark and immediately tuck in for bed. We were wrong about them sleeping. Neither of us had any good amount of sleep, 3 consecutive hours at best - the startling calls of those awful peacocks woke us up every few hours. At 7am we had enough 'sleep' to drive the 4 hours home. I understand campgrounds like these mostly cater to RV's/Campers (and in this case a lot of trailers/non-permanent homes), I also understand it's only $25, and we're expected to take advantage of the amenities on the other side of the property, but in our case the rustic campsites felt like they get the short end of the stick. At an absolute minimum we needed some sleep and we didn't get it.

What a gem of a campground! I have lived the majority of my life in Ortonville, MI., This is our first time camping here. This campground is absolutely beautiful from the sandy beach lake, fishing docks, paddle boats, serene and well manicured walking path around the lake with a dog dock and swimming area, many shady trees throughout the campground, a camp store that is unique in its self but has most anything you would need including small kid pools for your little one or fur babies! Laundry facilities with 8 washer and dryers that work great, and a bath house that is kept very clean. This family campground is managed by the family they are so friendly and accommodating, it is like you are a part of their family from the moment you arrive, unreal!! The location is conveniently located on M-15, 12 minute drive to I-75. If you are looking for a campground that is family friendly, fur baby welcoming, clean, and treat you like family, this is a must stay. We have a 44' fifth wheel with an 8' deck, they have sites with pads, gravel, and full hook up to boot. They do book out quickly for the the season, a testament to the how wonderful ClearWater Campground is. They also have rental cabins large enough to sleep 8 comfortably. Lots of activities for the both the adults and children thru-ought the camping season.

Clean place, easy to find, have lots of kid friendly things to do. There is a fee to get in if you're a guest and the thing I don't like is there's no way to do that from your vehicle, you have to get out to pay which really sucked for me since I had a newborn with me. They could make that easier for sure.

Wonderful staff. Wonderful place. Quiet and clean. This place is chock full of wonderful art and it has a beautiful lake. They took this wandering fool in without any hassle on a short notice reservation. My campsite is really cool, between two trees and it looks out into a wooded field, to my left horses play and an American flag waves in the breeze. Come and enjoy!

Good RV park. Generally crowded on weekends. Family oriented.
