Clinton Lake Camping

Overview

Clinton Lake Camping offers a traditional Ohio outdoor experience located in the heart of Seneca County. Centered around a stocked 10-acre lake, the park provides a welcoming atmosphere for those looking to disconnect from the city and enjoy the quiet rhythm of the countryside. This family-owned facility focuses on providing a clean and safe environment where guests can enjoy the natural beauty of the Republic area while maintaining access to modern camping comforts.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just outside the village of Republic, the park is surrounded by scenic rural landscapes and farmland typical of North Central Ohio. Its location provides easy access to the nearby city of Tiffin, yet it remains far enough removed to offer starry nights and peaceful mornings. The terrain is characterized by a mix of shaded woodlots and open spaces, offering a sense of privacy that is often missing in larger, more commercialized RV resorts.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped for various camping styles, offering full hookup sites with water, sewer, and electricity. Visitors can take advantage of the spring-fed lake, which features a sandy swimming beach and dedicated fishing areas. Key features include:

  • Clean shower house and restroom facilities
  • Spacious pavilion for group gatherings
  • On-site playground and basketball courts

A dump station is also available for guest convenience, ensuring all the basics are covered for a comfortable stay.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While the lake provides plenty of entertainment, the surrounding area features several points of interest. A short drive leads to historic downtown Tiffin, home to unique local shops and the Ritz Theatre. Nature enthusiasts can explore the nearby Seneca County Park District trails or visit the Seneca County Fairgrounds during event season. For those interested in regional history, the American Civil War Museum of Ohio is a notable nearby destination that offers an educational excursion.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is an ideal choice for family-oriented campers who value a classic, community-focused camping environment. It is particularly well-suited for retirees looking for a quiet seasonal stay or weekend travelers seeking a peaceful base for exploring Northwest Ohio. Because of its spacious pull-thru sites, it is a convenient stop for those traveling in larger rigs who prefer a natural setting over a crowded roadside lot.

The only complaint I have is they had no maps. The park is well kept. Office lady was very friendly. Plenty for kiddos to play on.

My family decided to take a last minute camping trip here literally LAST MINUTE went and bought a tent and all the necessities required, just to be STALKED like actually this lady was weirdd making up LIES on my family and then the “owners” or “workers” were also rude, idk if it was bc we camped in just tents and not in a camper like everyone else or what but was very ODD and unwelcoming not to mention UNCOMFORTABLE. Thanks for such an unwelcoming visit our family and friends will not be visiting again.
