Stopped in here after the nature boardwalk, this park is well maintained and clean. there's camping and some history of building the roads through the Everglades. There even the unique steam shovel they used to make the road. Also fishing and boat launching with kayak rentals.

I found the park to be nice and quiet. It was tough to do anything outside for more than a minute as the mosquitoes were very bad. You will need to be fully covered and still need bug spray and yet they will still find a spot to eat you. The RV sites have electric and a water hook up. There is no public wifi and the cell service is very poor. Bring your satellite if you want internet. The sites do not have a individual dump port. You will need to empty at the shared site even for grey water. The newer bath house was closed for repairs. I never saw anyone working on it, its probably not even broken, they just close it for the summer. The older one works but is quite a dated building. Some other parts of the park were also closed such as trails. Its a park geared for outdoors but just the wrong time of year to enjoy it.

Really nice park! Very big with a lot to do. We are camping in our RV, which there is plenty of space for our 40' fifth wheel. Only complaint about the site is that there isn't sewer hook ups at all the sites, but there are 2 bath houses just a few steps away in either direction. We love the park, but the mosquitoes use this place as a buffet 🤣 seriously, don't go outside without your favorite bug spary, unless you really love giving back to nature lol The marina is massive, with tons of parking and plenty of room for navigating around with larger vessels. Through playground, which is on the smaller side still offers a range of different areas for the kids to play. The best part is there is a bathroom right next to the playground!

Beautiful park. Clean showers and toilets. Manatees, bears, owls.. all kinds of wildlife. Camping site was clean. Old dredge there to view, lots of places to walk. Washing machines take credit cards.

Beautiful, Quiet inexpensive state park. East of Naples, Florida. Convenient glamping and camping. Clean modern facilities. Dump stations. Paved roads to ride bikes, boat and canoe/kayak launch. Nice docks. Very dog friendly ā¤ļøšŸ‘šŸ˜ŽšŸ¦©

This park is perfect for a quiet getaway, as it is peaceful throughout the park. The boat launch area is a pretty little water area. It's just 20 minutes from Marco Island, so very close. While we didn’t spot any wildlife, the historic dredge was cool to see and informative. Campsites, however, are close together in the 2nd loop. As of right now, there is a burn ban in place, so be sure to double-check the rules before lighting any open flames. Also, the mosquitoes got quite bad at night, so come prepared with bug spray. Some parts of the park (like its trails) and the office are closed currently due to hurricane damage. Overall, it's a lovely park and we enjoyed our stay.

i love this campground! it's a very beautiful place and the campsites are secluded fairly well. unfortunately, the trails were closed due to the recent hurricanes, Milton and Helene. so, that left us with not much to do active-wise. still a beautiful place to walk around with some cool tidbits of history. we would love to come here often, however, you must book far in advance as everything is always taken. the ranger also informed us that no one will be on site to answer phones past 3:30pm so i hope that helps someone out. overall, we had a good time!

Wonderful state park if you’re camping, otherwise not to much to do as their one trail was closed due to impact from Hurricane Helene. I love how the tent campers have their own loop for the most part, which was a new experience for us (particularly in the winter months). Recommend sites 8 and 11, we enjoyed both sites. close enough to the bathroom without feeling like you’re on top of them.
