Staff, visitors and annuals are all some of the nicest, REAL and genuine people I have ever been blessed to meet. They have a pool and a gym. They have water aerobics and activities daily. They are also pet friendly. I feel extremely fortunate to have found this campground and community. Thank you all!

I've been at this RV Park five times this year so that ought to show that I liked it! The town of Columbus nearby is an absolutely Splendid American town and except for Columbus having the smallest Walmart perhaps in the USA it's a perfect little town

I'm a loyal Thousand Trails enthusiast and love most of their parks. But I have to warn folks who want to stay at this one in the summer. If you're in the E-section (the largest section of the campground), you're in for an endurance test. All of the trees in this section have been wiped out. So there is ZERO shade and hot blacktops. Nobody will be outside during the day. And if you have dogs you'll have to keep them in until nightfall. Not to mention all of these spots have your trailer facing direct sun in the afternoon. So have fun sitting next to your sewer hose from noon-8:00 PM. For context we have 2 well maintained A/C's in a 34' 5th wheel and we were sweating inside. We had a two week reservation and left after one night because they didn't have a space for us in the trees. Most of them are taken up by permanent sites. So good luck. I hate to complain about something that will take 20 years to fix. But this was just a result of poor planning. I know I can't be the first person to bring this up. Lastly, on a positive, they're short staffed but super friendly. Linda did everything she could to get us into a better spot but the computer wouldn't let us move. Take care and get to planting!

Limited staff interaction but seemed super helpful and engaging. Wildlife here is pretty active, deer every evening and other critters running around. Ants, fire ants, every where in the new section "E". I addressed it with the front desk when I explained to them why we were leaving early. Walking our pups was like watching for land mines to keep them safe. It was rough on them and us. The staff genuinely looked surprised and hopefully they will be addressing it! Please be careful with your fur babies when walking them, especially around the fishing pond. Trails were very nice and the park is beautiful, quiet, and very secluded feeling. Only used the bathrooms in our section a couple of times but they seemed well kept. Pool was a little dirty the few times we went but it's an outside pool, realistic expectations folks. Site was pretty level and easy in and out (PT). Only one dog park but they do have plans to put in another one. Hopefully more central to the sites and larger to allow the dogs to run around a bit! Boat ramp appears to be overgrown by weeds and snake friendly so use caution down there. Laundry room was a little dated but all the machines were working well. All in all we enjoyed the stay with the exception of the fire ant infestation they are facing. Please take care of it. We would stay again if it is along the route but I don't see us detouring to come back. It just wasn't for us is all. You might very well love it!

Staying at Thousand Trails Colorado River RV. As a Thousand Trails Member for over 2 years and having stayed at this RV campground about 5 times, we can say that the Customer Service here is Execellent. Everytime we've been here they go out of their way to make sure we are happy not only with our site but with the amenities well. I had to make a 1 day last minute extension and they did not hesitate to try to make that work for us. Going above and beyond what is required is their minimum here when it comes to accommodating customer needs. This has become our favorite RV Campground even though we have another Thousand Trails Campground 20 minutes from our home. Big Thanks to the Front office !!

Overall it was fine. Nothing too exciting. We paid extra for a new site and felt it was worth it. Check in was a nightmare which started with being left at the gate trying to communicate with the "park ranger" and being ignored to the point of having to park and walk up to check in (which is 100% not ideal when you have your rig attached to your tow vehicle). Once inside the office they pretended we weren't the people they were JUST ignoring at the gate. I'm a reasonable person, but I do expect the people checking me in to be polite, excited to see us, and know the basics of their position. Everyone seemed confused and distressed. Bathrooms were new + clean. There's a decent amount of space around to walk dogs and be out exploring. Nothing around the area as far as we could tell, but we were in the area visiting friends in Houston so that wasn't a problem.

Great location, amenities are good, spacing is good, most of our encounters were friendly, and we enjoyed having a playground area so close and away from roads. But with my reservation I missed that I didn’t have a full hook up site unless one was open when I arrived (sites seem to be 1st come 1st served). They put us on a waiting list for a day and we got one. But, the extra expense for the new 50 amp sites also was a surprise. Guess we really need to dig into fine print before we reserve. Just not a simple or smooth arrival. They charge $5 per ups/fedex package delivery. Still not entirely sure what this covers… Bathrooms were good. Water hot. Mini golf fun. Ants everywhere, thankfully didn’t board the rig. Deer everywhere. Met some awesome people and shared several campfires and the kids played with others all 2 weeks! I’d go back but with more info.

Amazing! The best RV park so far! Looks like a farm. We stayed in the new part, which is organized, clean, with a beautiful view, and I love to see the animals that roam the park. It has a great space between the RVs, and there was no one sitting in their chairs minding other people's business, as happened in Florida. We prefer to pay the $10 daily for the pull through. The old part continues on the dirt road, and the new part has asphalt. And there's new asphalt at the entrance to the field too. I recommend!

Great quiet place. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more, great place to take your family for kids to play. Nice walking around park, beautiful lake. Relaxing stay.

Nice stop over. Electric plug would not work but they sent a repair man in about 4 hours. Had sewer , water, electric hookups. Location is good but personally I just can't get excited about park. They are putting in a lot new sites. Looks like parking in field. Gets lot of likes but just not my favorite place.
