Stayed here five nights, site H164, in a 39 foot class a motorhome pulling a GMC Canyon pick up. No electricity or water hook up, however we were right across from the bathroom that had potable water faucet. We had about four hours of good sun for our solar panels to charge our lithium batteries. I did have to run the generator about an hour each day just to top off the batteries. J Loop does have 50 and 30 amp electric, and most of the sites in the J Loop are huge. After the five nights at Colter Bay, we moved down to the south end of the park in Wilson, Wyoming, at fireside RV resort. Very nice RV park with full hook ups, but three times the cost of Colter Bay. On our next visit to grand Tetons, we will stay at Coulter Bay campground and still be able to access everything we wanted to do in the park.

There is an RV Park and Campground. The RV park has full hook ups and the campground has some sites with electric and some sections that allow generators. We were in the campground with our 30 Ft travel trailer. Potable water is available and there are 3 dump stations. Sites were pull through and back in. All were spacious with picnic tables and fire rings. Nice space between sites. We would definitely return.

Highly recommend staying if you are exploring the Tetons. Nicely spaced out campsites, we stayed in loop N and it was very quiet. Many amenities within the campground-small grocery store, showers ( $5 and sometimes a long wait , but worth it) . I personally thought Jackson lake was had better views than Jenny lake, recommend renting kayaks/boats.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff rotates through regularly cleaning facilities. We had no issues with late night noise or rowdy neighbors. Close to the marina and marina activities. I highly recommend the dinner cruise during your stay. Motorized and non the motorized watercraft available for rent. Arrive early if intending to rent, especially during the busy season. On site, grocery was as one might expect, pricey. Bear box at campsite for all food and toiletries storage was easy to use.

Colter bay was PERFECT for our first trip to the Tetons. Our site was near the lake so we could walk down during sunrise and sunset. The spots are well kept and the bathrooms were VERY nice for being camping bathrooms. each spot provides a bear box to store any food/drinks. The spots were also not too close to one another to where you felt like you were on top of other campers. Spread out enough to feel like we had our own space. I would highly highly recommend this spot & we will definitely be back

Potable water available. Our campsite had a trail directly to the lake! The kids loved hiking down and enjoying the water. They have bear proof storage for food at each campsite as well.

There's dirt everywhere! And animals, trees, bugs (the fun kinds, spiders and such), freshish air, trails... Liked all of the shade. Kids freaked out a bit about the spiders in the bathrooms but they are needed to control the mosquitoes. So trade-off. The spiders mind their own business. The bathrooms could use some repairs, stall doors that don't shut or stay shut and faucets that don't stay on for more than a second. Signal Mt campground facilities are in better shape.

We loved our stay at Colter Bay. The rocky beach was beautiful and, even though it was chilly, was perfect for lounging and swimming after our hikes. The facilities were well cared for and they have everything you need on site: groceries, a restaurant, showers, laundry, etc. I also love that they had a generator free section. Being in a tent loop is always great for getting good views of the stars.
