We only hiked through, but we definitely want to come back to camp. Beautiful fall colors and for the mile we hiked in the trail was well maintained.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this campground. Starting with the hosts: Roger and Gwen are one in a million! They clearly take pride in this campground. It is immaculate! They were so helpful and available whenever we needed help. They are fantastic. The campground is so peaceful. There is some road noise but the views are beyond compare. My favorite thing? The hummingbirds! I’ve never seen so many in my life! What a treat. This is an amazing campground. We can’t wait to visit again!

Beautiful views of the canyon walls. A small stream flows through the center of the campground providing some nice white noise in the background. Well kept picnic tables and fire rings. The camp hosts were very welcoming and had firewood for sale at their site. You can clearly hear cars on the highway as they pass by (to be expected at the sites at the front of the campground), but they are not that frequent. Probably not an issue toward the back. There is hiker parking for the Columbine trail at the trailhead. Multiple pot toilets and drinking water faucets around the campground, a short walk from any site.

Beautiful, hidden gem of a campground. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Wonderful trailhead right at the campground. Very relaxing listening to the creek/river that runs through the entire area.

Love this place! We've stayed here twice now and each time has been special. The creek running through provides a perfect background noise that lulls you to sleep. Sites were level and had no issue finding a place for our tent. Bathrooms were always clean when we were there and smelled great. There is a trailhead right in the campground for easy access to multiple trails in the area. Close enough to Questa for supplies and while it is a bit close to the highway, noise was never a huge issue. Only downside is we could not move the picnic table at the site which was fine for our setup but I do prefer when you can arrange the site as you like. Decent 3G signal on Verizon too for all important weather monitoring during the summer monsoon season.

Very nice area! I look forward to camping there soon. A creek / stream runs next to the campground and I saw some folks fishing.
