Every year, we bring the men from our recovery program to Columbus Park for a 3-day camping trip, and it has truly become a highlight for us. The staff are always welcoming and accommodating, and the park itself is extremely well kept. The little store has just about everything you might need if you forget something, and the cost is very affordable. What we appreciate most is that Columbus Park is a wholesome, family-oriented place. There’s not a lot of out-of-control partying, drugs, or alcohol around, which is so important for the men we serve who are overcoming addiction. It’s a safe and peaceful environment where they can relax, fish, and enjoy the outdoors without worry. One of the most meaningful parts of our trips has been the chance to offer baptism right there at the lake. Each year, a dozen or so men have been baptized in the water, marking a powerful step forward in their recovery and faith journey. This place has been a huge blessing to our program, and we plan to keep coming back every year. Thank you to everyone at Columbus Park for creating such a wonderful space.

Always a pleasure staying here. Office staff is very friendly, maintenance personnel are all friendly, lake access, with kayak rentals, occasional slip and slide for kids that goes to the lake. Doped off swimming area, and a boat launch. Very cool place to come stay at.

Great place for kids. There is a lake that people can swim and play in all day. You can take your boat out and fish or weight board. You can also rent a canoe or row boat or a floating raft. Campgrounds are seriously close together, but it was not a nightmare. The staff were beyond friendly and kind. STaff spent entire days cleaning the grounds, so this place is the cleanest camp I've ever been to. Apparently, you can rent a space for the day with reservations and have a huge private party. Dogs are not allowed in the biggest part of the park where the grass is in front of the lake, so I had to leave our dog in the car while the kids played in the water. On a very hot day, this could be an issue.

Well, since I came on a weekday, it's pretty quiet. Staff at the shop was AMAZINGLY AMAZING!!! Make sure you bring cash, though. Cash only for the food at the shop. Although you can use your card to pay to enter. Overall, 10 out of 10!!! Oh, make sure you get to the fishing dock after the geese poop is cleaned...LMBO

I would recommend this camping site to anyone that is looking for a better place to camp at. This is our first time camping here and we loved it. The restrooms are very clean. Showers are nice and clean. There’s hot water which is that’s a plus. Each camping site has water and electricity. Most of the camping sites we’ve been to does not have electricity but you have to paid for shower and their restrooms are dirty. Not this campsite. Loved how there is a little park in this campsite as well with a nice lake. We loved it here and we will definitely come back to this camping site.

Great staff. No so great spots. Really congested. Had to wait 20 min+ while someone TRIED! To jockey their camper into there spot. And for the little ones the play grounds are antiquated and scary.

Great place for camping and swimming. Loved the volleyball courts and sandy beach area for swimming. Staff was super friendly and helpful, can't wait to go back just for the day to swim and play

Nice area, seemed clean enough, good camping spots with hook-ups. Had to smell some strong sewer occasionally and other campers playing loud music while sparking their favorite joints repeatedly though. Sometimes you gotta put up with that stuff though.

This is a good park but beware that there is a fee to enter. A day pass costs $7 so it's not too bad but definitely should know. There is a swimming dock, fishing dock, and boat dock they have plenty of areas for sitting and what not.
