Whether you are visiting for a specific event or simply passing through the area, the grounds provide a reliable, no-frills base with easy access for various vehicle sizes and styles.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in the charming town of Colusa, the fairgrounds are surrounded by fertile orchards and farmland typical of this productive region. The location is just a short distance from the banks of the Sacramento River, offering a refreshing natural backdrop to the rural landscape. Its position away from major interstate noise ensures a quiet night's sleep while remaining easily accessible from Highway 20, making it a convenient stop for those traveling through the valley.
Amenities & Park Features
The RV facilities at the fairgrounds include sites equipped with water and electrical hookups, supporting both 30 and 50-amp service for modern rigs. Guests have access to an on-site dump station and basic restroom and shower facilities which are maintained for seasonal use. The sites are generally level and offer wide-open spaces, making it a stress-free option for those maneuvering larger motorhomes or fifth-wheels that require significant clearance and extra room to settle in.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the Colusa-Sacramento River State Recreation Area, which is perfect for fishing, boating, or scenic walks along the water. The region is a key part of the Pacific Flyway, making the area a premier destination for world-class bird watching during the migration seasons. Additionally, the historic downtown area of Colusa features well-preserved architecture and local dining options that offer a glimpse into the town's rich heritage.
Who This Park Is Best For
This location is ideal for budget-conscious RVers who prefer utility and open space over resort-style luxuries. It is a fantastic choice for bird watchers and anglers looking for a functional home base near the river's edge. Because of the expansive, open layout and easy navigation, it is also one of the best spots for big rigs and travelers seeking a quiet, uncomplicated stopover in the Northern Sacramento Valley.

We pulled in at around 10pm and spent the night with our being rousted. Good quick stop and sleep. A little busy road noise. But just so happens, clean porta potties and wash station. A blessing to weary travellers.

We spent the night in the parking lot. No one rousted us! We got up, used the porta potty and headed over to Caffeinated, a local coffee place dntn.
