Very nice campground. Clean out houses and beautiful lake and trails. Water taps by outhouses with garbage and recycle. No cell service but your in remote bush.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Noisy Creek Campground, nestled in the picturesque surroundings near Ione. Here's my review of this serene camping destination: Location: Noisy Creek Campground boasts an ideal location, providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Situated near Ione, the campground benefits from being close enough to civilization while still immersing visitors in the tranquility of nature. The journey to the campground is straightforward, with well-marked roads leading the way. Campsite and Amenities: The campsite itself offers a variety of well-maintained and spacious spots to pitch tents or park RVs. I appreciated the abundance of shade provided by the towering trees, creating a cool and comfortable atmosphere during the day. The sites were thoughtfully arranged, ensuring privacy and seclusion from neighboring campers. Noisy Creek Campground offers a decent range of amenities for campers. The restroom facilities were clean and regularly maintained. The presence of potable water stations throughout the campground was convenient for refilling water bottles and cooking needs. Scenic Beauty and Nature: The true highlight of Noisy Creek Campground is its proximity to natural wonders. The creek that runs alongside the campground emanates a soothing melody, providing a beautiful backdrop to the camping experience. The surrounding forest is teeming with diverse flora and fauna, making it an excellent spot for nature enthusiasts and wildlife watchers. Minor Considerations: While the overall experience at Noisy Creek Campground was delightful, there were a few minor downsides. The name "Noisy Creek" is quite accurate, as the babbling creek can be quite audible during the night. While some may find this soothing, light sleepers may want to come prepared with earplugs. Additionally, the campground can get quite busy during peak seasons, so making reservations in advance is advisable. Conclusion: Noisy Creek Campground near Ione provides a wonderful escape into nature's embrace. With its serene ambiance, beautiful surroundings, and proximity to outdoor activities, it is an ideal destination for both families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Huge camping spaces, well maintained restrooms and the camp host drives through the campground on a regular basis to check up on things (a plus when traveling alone and concerned about safety). Not all campers follow the leash rule for dogs, so be aware when walking through. There's also a nice hiking trail and day use area. Campfire wood is available for sale at the host's site.

Had a great weekend here, it really allowed us to get away and enjoy being out in nature. Even though we were at a campground, there was enough privacy that you didn't feel like you were camping with a group.. The Camp Manager was wonderful and did a fantastic job keeping everything cleaned up. There is a gate that is closed from 10pm-6am that helps keep random people from driving through. The bathrooms are vault toilets and are fairly easily accessible from any site. No running water in the bathroom. No showers. Just the basics! There is easily accessible water spigots, the water is cold and tastes great!!! Our site (Site 1) did not have a bear bin, so we kept all our food and other smelly stuff in the vehicle at night and when we were away. Some sites do have bear bins. One reviewer mentioned that they expected a separate tent pad, but the RV pad is the tent pad. It's gravel, not paved. We had no problems putting in our stakes. Couldnt be happier! All the sites also have a rather large picnic table and a decent sized fire pit. I highly recommend that you take some time to hike around out here. There is the Noisy Creek trailhead right by the campsite with a 7 mile hike to the top of the mountain (didn't do this hike) and a few miles up Sullivan Lake Road there is the old Mill Pond Historic Site (drive past the Mill Pond Campground) that we hiked around for a few hours. We took the path to the South side of the Mill Pond, and then hiked back to the trails on the north side. Highly recommend you are prepared if you do this - there is a 20ft wide creek that is nearly impassible if you come up this way, you either have to cross in fast moving water that appears to be knee deep or worse - or climb across some debris which takes a level of skill not to fall in. You have been advised. Overall, we loved this campground and have already booked another weekend here.
