If you're looking for a beautiful getaway without all of the tourist trappings you can't beat Open Pond campground. Up to 14 day stays at very reasonable rates. Beautiful, forested area. Warm showers. And no extra charge for the vicious, running loose dog who attacked and seriously Injured my cat this evening.

Beautiful sites on the water! The sites aren't super far from one another but they are deep. There's tons of space between the tent pads and pond for activities. Only $4 for tent campers with America the Beautiful Pass ($8 w/o the pass) and $8 for hookups ($16 w/o the pass). The bathrooms are older but the showers have hot water so I can't complain. Trash is down by loop 3 with the Rv sites. Close enough to the beach to make day trips, and about 30 min from Andalusia. Andalusia has everything you'll need and a great walking track too!

Gorgeous day to enjoy outdoors. Attended a mushroom presentation at one of the pavilions. Nice view of the pond, there were picnic tables, water faucets and bathrooms. Enjoyed walking some of the trails, but stay out of the water...gators!

We loved this campground. Largest sites we've ever had. Nice Lakes, trails and very relaxing. Very pet friendly. Our cat was even comfortable here.

Nice little Alabama campground. They offer both primitive and electrical sites, but they are all first come first serve. We arrived around 3pm and all of the primitive sites were already taken (best views of the lake). The prices were pretty solid for Alabama at $8 for dry camping, and $16 for hookup. Showers and bathrooms are available (average) If you liked this review, make sure to follow along on all of our platforms @theggoldenroad as we explore each of the 50 states with our two pups in our short bus named TimmyII.

Very nice campgrounds. Showers were too hot to stand under but understand when it's cold probably doesn't feel as hot. The trails are nice but no maps and not marked well. I would visit this park again.

This is a great little spot next to the water. Conecuh National Forest, Open Pond, quiet, boat ramp, bathroom with shower, plenty of wood to gather, fire rings, picnic tables, parking pads, primitive loop is next to two lighted and developed loops, primitive $8(4 with pass)

This place is incredible! The rangers are amazing as well as the "full time" campers. There is not a bad camping site in the place. It is first come, first serve but we had no issue getting a spot. There a numerous trails to hike once you find the entrance and they all feed into various other trails. Blue Spring is a hidden gem that's worth the 6 mile round trip of you can find it. Minimal to no cell service enhances the amazing experience of this place even more.
