This is a great spot! I appreciate an owner who takes what I bet was an eye sore and turned it into a little haven. I want to address some of the 1 reviews I saw. 1. Yes it is by a railroad track. We stayed two nights, no issues. 2. Yes it appears to be what was the backlot of a landscaping company. What did they do but privacy fence the area (wire fence with slats.) Works great! Then they put in a structure with a lovely sitting room, workout room, yes small but this isn't planet fitness. Did I mention the landscaping is just lovely? 3. Most places you "overnight" or stay for a few days only have two washers and dryers if you are lucky. 4. They offer WIFI. Not speedy WIFI. If you need speed either use your hot spot or your own WIFI. Everything is well thought out and they have packed as many amenities into the park as possible. Workout room, Entertainment room, bathrooms with lovely showers, putting green, outside patio area, dog run (small but adequate) and a game area. It is clean, safe (gate locks from 5 pm till 8am) and reasonably priced for being walking distance to Main Street with numerous shops and restaurants. In addition the Dunes, Wildlife Sanctuary and other cool attractions are within a 30 minute drive. We will be back.

The RV spot was great, Amy went out of her way to accommodate our late arrival. We thought the place was brand new. We were surprised to find that they have been there several years. The laundry and bathroom were spotless.

Hidden gem. This neat little RV Park is in a really good location in Alamosa. Very short walk to Main Street, where there are shops, supermarket, food and drinks. Clean clubhouse and restrooms. We could not have been happier.

This is hands-down one of the number one places I’ve ever stayed at with my camper! All the sites are pulled through and very easy to access. The entire place is very clean. It has A laundry room that uses quarters. It has very large bathroom/shower rooms. There’s a vending machine. They sell firewood and deliver it. It was a very easy process to register and check in was online. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful newer RV park with really nice, clean landscaping. Trees are young and small, but should grow to add even more to this park. The office, club house, and restrooms were spotless! We enjoyed some time sitting outside-very nice, but you could hear some traffic and trains, not loud but in the background. Couldn’t hear them at night.

The Cool Sunshine team had us set up for our arrival and we pulled right in to our spot. No problems whatsoever, hookups were conveniently located in a central area and worked great for our situation. Great stay, highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the couple of days/nights we spent here! Over the past few parks we've stayed at we've had power fluctuating issues in the freezing mornings, but not here! The grounds are nice and well kept. The only "complaint" I might have is that the dog park is pretty small. Overall it's a great park and I recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in this area.

Staff was very accommodating and check in was extremely easy and hassle free despite our late arrival. We stayed here for two weeks and felt very safe and comfortable. I loved that it was a gated community. Our neighbors were pleasant and quiet. The only things that were noisy was the railroad right behind our trailer and the sirens around the city (which I guess is to be expected and out of the park’s control). Each site had their own picnic table, greenery, and tree. There was a pretty decent space between rigs. The rustic sites have fire pits you can use. There is a small area in the back for games as well as a fenced in area for dogs. My cousin, who used the facilities, said they were great and well maintained. It was a reasonable priced park for full hook that gave me security to sleep well at night. I will definitely be here next time I visit this area again! Thank you.

Cool Sunshine was friendly, new and well situated. While not necessarily a charming RV park in itself, it was beautifully maintained, new trees had been planted, and the grass was impressively maintained. They had a cute putting green, and their showers, laundry and community rooms were immaculate. After hours, a security gate closed to provide a safe environment. Given this was a “home base” for trips to the Dunes, Zapata Falls and the bird sanctuaries, the location was great. It was also just a couple of blocks from Safeway, Starbucks and some great restaurants in town. The manager were very helpful and nice. Recommend!

Aces! We stayed at Cool Sunshine for three weeks in April and then again for a night this fall when we were coming and going from our summer job in the mountains. Not only was this a safe, clean, easy place to rest our home, it felt welcoming and genuine. It is definitely easy to attribute that to how much the owners are involved and care! When you’re on the road, this makes all the difference when you need to feel at home. Plus, what a great base to explore the area! We loved visiting the Great Sand Dunes multiple times, Zapata Falls and the wetlands. Thanks so much for hosting us Amy and Wade! We hope to return one day!
