Cottonwoods used to be a beloved annual camping tradition for me, my family, and friends (sometimes we’d take up 6–8 campsites together, a lot of us went and enjoyed the campground!). I started going as a toddler and continued well into my 20s. It was a beautiful, welcoming campground that families could actually enjoy. Unfortunately, since the campground was sold, everything has changed. The new owners turned it into a so-called “resort,” drastically raising prices, removing the traditional family-friendly campground feel, and instead creating private lots for purchase. They tried to make it seem more “luxury,” but in the process destroyed the charm and accessibility that made this place special. It’s heartbreaking to see yet another beautiful campground in our province taken away from ordinary families and turned into something driven by greed rather than community. I truly hope the owners see this and decide to bring back the nostalgia of camping, making their campground affordable and accessible to all families across the province. It breaks my heart that I won’t be able to share this special place with my future children the way my parents shared it with me.

Staff was rude and unhelpful, site is bland and the public shower only runs boiling hot with no way to cool the temperature. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

This was our second stay at Cottonwood Cove and we love this place. We had a great site. Screened gazebo  and  TV! 😂 A beautiful view of the pond. However, on this stay, we had some uninvited guests! Mosquitoes! Tiny, quiet, little invaders that particularly liked me 😂 Alot! They even found me in the screened gazebo! 😂 Unfortunately they kind of robbed us of having a perfect stay. But in spite of these pesky little guests, what makes this place so perfect is the community, amenities and especially the hosts. A found a book to read and did some laundry. Got one day on the beach away from the mozzies. (Weather) My hubby lost the mirror off his bike and through the resort's Facebook page someone found it and the camp host returned it to him. He also delivered our filled propane tank to our trailer for us. We will definitely be back, but perhaps later in the season next time when the Cottonwood and the mosquitoes have flown the coop 😅

To start it off, Loraine and Ron are absolutely amazing and would go back just for them. The trailer was great (makes me want one). As for the location, being lake front was amazing and my kids and I loved it and wished it didn’t end. Definitely want to go back next year.

Stayed here for a few nights. The weather wasn’t the best but that’s at no fault to the resort. Ron, one of the resort operators, he was able to suggest some places to try out. Like the leisure centre down the road that has mini golf and an arcade etc. the bathrooms here are very clean and Rons wife keeps things very tidy. Cute place.
