Cozy place to stay for a Vacation or just passing through. I’m here twice a week for work and the staff is always so friendly! I love single queen rooms with the recliner chair because sitting on a bed to watch tv sucks! The hot tub is always hot and the gym is always nice. It’s small but just what I need to keep up my work outs on the road

Good for a small town lodging option. The standard king is pretty small and we switched to a suite which was less than $10 more per night but doubled the size of the standard king so would recommend. Also appreciate the coffee and hot water machine in the common area. Sound insulation was not very good but overall a common problem for this type of lodging place.

If I could give this a zero star I would. We have been coming to the cottonwood for years. And this year it has been nothing but a disappointment. We checked in and we’re told we were going to get adjoining rooms and checked in the next day to find out we still didn’t have adjoining rooms. We went to enjoy a meal and the service was absolute horrible. We waited 10 minutes to even get menus and a drink order. Waited another 15-20 minutes to get our order taken. Waited 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. Each drink order we waited 10-20 minutes for them to arrive. We tried to stay understanding since we all come from the service industry and understand the industry is lacking help right now. Until our food finally showed up an hour and a half later when our server said our salads for sides would not be coming out till after our food arrived. We said no big deal thinking we’d get them right away after she delivered the rest of our food. We had finished our food and still no salads. I finally asked if we could get our salads since we were ready to go when the server was extremely rude to me making snarky comment about me being a server as well. And then spilled a drink on me. Finally we had to get our salads to go after a total of two hours waiting for them. Needless to say I will never step foot in their restaurant again. I’ll eat McDonald’s for the rest of my trip.

I give Cottonwood Inn 5 stars because I have really no complaints. I spent many a night here this summer working crop insurance claims and it was a splendid home away from home. Is it the Ritz? Perhaps not, but comfortable and an oasis in northwestern Montana. I look forward to every next stay.
