Great location in Detroit Lakes area for RVs or travel trailers. Full hookups (power, water and septic). Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Location was quiet. Recreation room with showers and restrooms. Fire pits. Gravel pads to park. East access in and out for my 24 ft travel trailer. I believe they are a veteran owned business. The campground is near the lake and they have a playground area for the kids.

Very well kept campgrounds. The owners, Todd & Karen are wonderful hosts. Very attentive, very personable and you can tell they take great pride in their campgrounds. The sites are spacious and just enough shade. Unfortunately we were there for fly season but besides that, fantastic! Karen makes the most delicious homemade bread and you can buy a loaf for $10. It’s a huge loaf and absolutely delish. We had the Italian Parmesan outta this world! Thanks for making our trip enjoyable! Site 21

I have been traveling ever since for 10 years now. This campground is definitely in my top 5. To 20 for value. First, the campground is gorgeous, spaces are comfortable, and the staff is amazing. The grounds are beautiful, green and manicured. The campground is perfectly located to all the activities Detroit Lakes have to offer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A hidden gem with the kindest hosts! We had the BEST stay here! The owners were absolutely fantastic — genuinely kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to help us get our new camper set up properly. It made such a difference, especially as first-timers! On top of that, we were given a menu of fresh sourdough bread flavors to choose from at check-in — and sure enough, the next morning we were greeted with a warm, freshly baked loaf. It was such a thoughtful and delicious touch! The amenities were top-notch, and the entire campground — from facilities to individual sites — was spotless and beautifully maintained. You can tell they take great pride in this place. We can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a peaceful, clean, and welcoming place to stay — this is it!

We have been on the road for almost 10 weeks and have been to 30 campgrounds. This Campground is by far our favorite. It is absolutely perfect and welcoming. The host was so friendly and she even bakes Sourdough bread and sells it for $10 a loaf which is a steal. Everything is clean and it’s quiet and we would love to return someday.
The Real Deal
Will not be staying here again. The owners are very nice people but have a limited understanding of what is expected at a “full service”, “dog friendly” campground. The site is only marginally dog friendly. There are TWO(!) fenced children’s play areas but no fenced dog area. Owners ask elderly traveling without children and with pets to walk dogs OFF PROPERTY approximately 350yards rather than accommodate them. Loss of one star for that. This is the only campground I have stayed in on my cross country trip to not offer a military discount. Okay. It’s their business; they can run it how they want, but that seems off putting when you consider that retirees are a large portion of the RV public. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE OWNER IS FORMER MILITARY! Most annoying, bathrooms/shower rooms were mysteriously locked from 9pm until after 9:30a the following morning when I finally gave up and showered in my camper. With a mandatory checkout time of 11a, it would have been nice to take a shower and not have to rush around to leave on time, or be forced to pump gray/black water twice. Additionally, the previous night I noticed that there was no shower curtain and no way to lock the door from the inside in the men’s shower/bathroom. On my next trip I won’t be back.

We selected this campground just as a couple of night stay to break up what otherwise would have been a very long leg. Wow are we glad we did! It turned out to be a lovely, family friendly campground. We stayed on site #25, Pull-through FHU 50/30/20, water, sewer. Gravel pad, concrete patio with picnic table, fire ring. Almost perfectly level - no issues auto-leveling with just the levelers. Standard angled parallel with good spacing between sites. There is no road noise, but there is a train track within sight and the train, and the train horn, can be heard throughout the day and night. It was not a problem for us, just something to be aware of. Big rig friendly. Clean. Wonderful owners. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Tip: One of the owners, Todd, escorted us to the site. He came by to chat while I was setting up. In the conversation, he asked if we knew about the Trolls. It turns out, there is a major installation of Thomas Dambo's Forest Trolls in Detroit Lakes with a total of six (five "regular" and one "special") Trolls. They are really cool, and totally worth the time to see.

My friend and I were in a pinch for a last-minute place to stay – the owners, Todd and Karen, were so accommodating and welcoming. The overall set up is meant for RV camping, but I was in a tent and just as comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone going through the Detroit Lakes area.

What a great campground near Detroit lakes. This is generational owned and the pride shows. Extremely clean sites and restrooms. There's a laundry area for us weary travelers. There's a mini trail, dogs are allowed and a huge recreational cabin with games, books and a great screened on porch. As a horrible sleeper I frequently used this cabin so I didn't bother my neighbors. Great place. Thank you for letting me stay. Nancie Newman Quiet and peaceful

I had a great experience at Country campground in lovely Detroit lakes. The campground was quiet and well maintained. The owners clearly took pride in their business. I arrived late, past their normal check-in time. The owners had no problem letting me in and showing me to my site. They really went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. In fact they came out to our site several times to jumpstart My friend's car. The sites were large and well maintained. I believe most of them were Full hookups. The rec room was one of the best I've ever seen, with every type of table game imaginable. They even had a very large dining area where I can imagine you could host quite a party. The only bad thing I can say is that for some reason there were a lot of flies there. Both horses flies around the perimeter where you had to walk your dog and at the sites, there were lots of common house flies. I don't know if this was because we were surrounded by cornfields or whether this was a normal thing.

Wonderful park. Very nicely kept. Clean, with large lots including big rig friendly sites and full hookups. Todd was a great help as we needed to have some routine service done on our motorhome, he helped us get an appointment locally, and since their laundry/bath house was closed for the season, he found us a laundromat nearby where we could wash our clothes. The park's water was shut off for the season, so he hooked up a hose so we could have running water at our site. He went out of his way to be helpful. A great family-oriented campground with a nice playground and big, grassy area to run around on. Everything is clean, new, and well-kept. We extended an extra night just because we really liked the park. Excellent wifi, and with open skies to the south, it is Tailgater friendly. We highly recommend this as a stop if you need a campsite in the area.

Super clean and spacious sites. Also, extremely courteous and welcoming staff make you feel at home. The game room is a nice place for kids to play with a wide variety of fun.
