Our family of 6 had a blast on a Sunday afternoon. This was our first time tubing on this river and going to Country Camping resort. The staff was pleasant, the bus ride was nice and easy. The tubes were nice, and the river was so fun. Tubing is one of my favorite summer hobbies, I’m glad to have found this just a half hour from home rather than driving over an hour some place else. The process was easy, smooth and quick. Just wish our float was longer-(My only complaint.) I will definitely be back before summer ends! My kids loved swimming in the river, it was clean. The rope off to the side was so much fun for us and many others as there was a nice line. Everyone we crossed paths with were nice and it’s definitely family friendly or even fun for adults!!! I cannot wait to come back for more fun. 🤩

We haven't been able to do the camping experience YET.. but we went there to go tubing ...me and my two grandchildren who love the water! It was a great experience! Reasonable amount of money for a lifetime of memories! They Supply the tubes and the ride up River in a bus type vehicle ( bring your own life jackets if you need them) I also liked that the tubes had ropes on them so you could tie your tubes together... the river was actually comfortable not too cold.. higher than normal but nothing dangerous.. and my 10-year-old grandson was able to touch quite a few times.. there were a few trees down here and there as we've had a lot of storms lately... but my grandson loved being our pilot .. he made sure we didn't run into any of them..🤗 .. be watching for the country camping signs on the side of the river to your right .. as there are no signs saying this is the spot you stop at 😝 . We look forward to one day camping here for a few days at least. I'm really glad they have this option in our area ( I am a local )

We like coming to this campground! They have a pool and a splash pad. They have a small little store and a connected game area! They offer tubing down the rum river with a shuttle. It costs extra but is fun. Things to note, the pool is open from 10am to 8pm. Why this closes so early and opens so late in the summer, not sure. It would be better if the hours were 9-9. Just my opinion. There is plenty of seating by the pool. The splash pad is nice. They have an area for basketball and a playground. They even have shuffleboard! They offer cool covered wagons you can rent or rvs. Some of the sites are very open. The primitive sites are closer and some even on the river.

Mediocre camping experience. We camp many times a summer, and like to try new places. We probably won't be retuning to Country Camping. We camped over the 4th of July, and the weather was pretty warm. Friends and us "shared" site 31, which had two hook ups. It was pretty tight. Many of the sites are really small here. We enjoyed the heated pool and splash pad, but the pool is small and closes at 8:00pm. Which when it was 90+ degrees all day and stays light until 9:30, seems silly. Even more silly was that Saturday when it was 90 degrees and had rained all morning campers were told with 15 minutes warning that the pool would be closed from 4:00-8:00 for adults only swim. During that 4 hours there were hardly any people in the pool. They also close the bathrooms at 9:00pm for cleaning, which is right when many people need them to get ready for bed. This wasn't advertised anywhere, so was quite a pain. Had we known we would have planned differently. Different people in our group also had some interesting encounters with staff. Several of which were unpleasant. We floated down the river which was $100+ for 5 of us. They gave us a ride to the start and provided the tubes with that fee. The water was the perfect temp, but must be really high this year. We couldn't touch about 3/4 of the way and there are many trees down on the float. So plan to have someone willing to be out of their tube and pulling the group to avoid branches most of the way. In a nutshell, it was a lot of small things that just added up. We are bummed we didn't have a better experience, because it was nice to not be driving "North" on such a busy weekend.

We've camped here many times and never had an issue. We brought family that had NEVER camped before and was a bit disappointed that they were harassed about how they placed their tents by the river. These are primitive sites with no water/electricity and we had reserved 4 spots (and they weren't cheap!). I hope this experience didn't sour them from camping and they give it another try.
