Found this campground for my families yearly camping trip last year. Loved it so much decided to bring my inlaws this year. This is one of the best campgrounds I have been too. The owners are nice and friendly. They take pride in keeping their campground clean and making sure everyone has a great stay. Highly recommend this campground. Owners are very accommodating and make sure every stay is enjoyable. Will defiantly be back again

We had a wonderful time at this camp ground. The owners worked very hard to put together a great halloween weekend for the kids. From the trails outback to the games and hayride. Would recommend to any one looking for a quiet, family friendly and pet friendly camping experience to call them today and book your getaway.

We just had our first visit to countryside and we will absolutely be back! The pool is so clean, as is the rest of the grounds. The bathrooms were super clean and had a cute little selfie wall. The owners take great pride in what they do and it shows. It’s a beautiful area with lots of things at the playground area to keep the kids entertained. Sabine and AL really make it a whimsical magical experience for the kids waking up early hiding painted rocks and my girls had the best time on the magical nature trails and at the foam party! Couldn’t recommend enough!

We first stayed at Countryside last year, meeting the new owners Al and Sabine. We camped with 8 other folks in a row of buddy sites. The experience was so enjoyable, we all decided to come back this year! That visit was in June again. Talking it over with Debbie, we decided to change our July plans and come back to Countryside. The place is immaculate, pet friendly, and just so enjoyable. Thank you Al and Sabine for another fun visit! P.S. CJ loves it, too!

We loved this campground!! The owners are very passionate about nature and children’s safety. It’s a perfect spot for families. Most lots are spacious, mostly grassy and larger trimmed trees. Nice large designated area for doggy’s to run around. Very nice walking trail throughout the property. Lots of park amenities! We will definitely be back!

This was our first stay at Countryside and we had an enjoyable trip! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the new owners Al and Sabine. They were welcoming and very friendly. We were given the lowdown on campground details and then promptly escorted to our site. The campgrounds have large sites with mature trees and grass with both full hook-up and regular sites. Most of the sites were booked, but it was still very quiet and peaceful. The pool was fabulous. The large playground was full of fun things for kids to play on. The bathhouse is very clean. Our dog enjoyed the fenced-in dog park and the nature walks. Overall, a wonderful weekend. We look forward to returning!

One of the best campgrounds we have been to, and we’ve been to at least 50 across the country. The campground is shady almost all around. The camper spaces have enough space for a picnic table and fire pit with plenty of space for seats. The owner will help guide you while parking to have the perfect position for your hook ups. Prices are very reasonable all around which is respected in today’s economy. There is a nature trail which is well maintained as well as some “hidden” gems like the grandfather or porcupine tree. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained, there are 3 showers and 3 toilets in the women’s bathroom and 3 showers, 2 toilets and a urinal in the men’s bathroom. We never had to wait. There is a good size playground and a toy shed with yard games available. The pool is heated and well maintained. The owners are very friendly and are willing to take the time to have a conversation and get to know you as well as random check-ins to make sure everything is ok. We had bad storms coming in and they took the time to go around warning everyone and recommend taking in awnings and lowering tents. From previous reviews it seems they have really turned this place around and I can’t wait to come back

We had a good size group that Al and Sabine were able to accommodate at their very roomy buddy sites. The campground is meticulously cared for and maintained. They were constantly making sure the campers were satisfied. They are extremely friendly and hands on. We love this campground and already planning our trip for next year. As a side note....Al works for cookies!! Good job Al and Sabine!!! You are the best!!

This was our first time taking out our new to us travel trailer. The owner John was so helpful the entire time. If we needed anything he was there, escorted us to our site and helped to ensure it was level before leaving us to set up camp and stopped by the dump station at the end. We were Halloween Camping which was wonderful, lots of great activities for all ages. We loved the pumpkin painting and the hay rides! Don't miss out on the nature trail, it starts at the far end of the campground but was a beautiful walk with the family and the dog. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was super clean and we had great fun!

We have stayed here previously for overnights on our way up to the UP. This was our first stay as a destination. I cannot say enough good things about Jon and Lea, and the staff. Facilities were impeccable, and all sights were well maintained and clean. From the moment we checked in it was a very pleasant experience. We were met out our site by Jon the owner (which is uncommon these days) He helped me locate my camper in the best location, and this was a first he provided shoring, and placed them up by tires to level out my camper (He actually uses a level). We purchased wood, and it was delivered directly to our site. Everyone we talked to was so friendly, and willing to help, or just sit and talk. My wife is disabled, and is in a power chair. We were down at the dog run, and had a small event, that was no in part the fault of the campground. My wife fell forward out of her chair, and one phone call to the office for assistance we met instantly with people from the staff, and fellow campers. What an amazing feeling to know that were are people out there that will come to your aid without hesitation. We are going to make Country side campground in Harrison, our destination location far into the future. I highly recommend you give it a try. Without fail the best private campground we have ever stayed at in Michigan. Jon, Lea, and your staff are amazing. Keep it up. D&M

We live locally but were forced to camp due to a power failure at our home that was anticipated to last several days. Fortunately they had one site left that would accommodate our fifth wheel. Although I drive by this campground numerous times per month I never knew how nice it is. If it's not the cleanest campground I've stayed in it's in the top three. Our two dogs were extremely happy with the large clean dog run. Large playground and games for kids. Large shaded lots. Very friendly staff.

Loved this place! There's plenty of things to do for all ages & I haven't seen a cleaner campground. The owners & staff are on top of anything that needs to be done. The heated pool was super clean & the laundry room was clean & convenient. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone of any age to visit.I would definitely stay again
