This was our first winter season here. We have already reserved our spot for next fall/winter. Plenty of activities to choose from, or do nothing or everything, if you want to. Grateful for the heated pool! Residents are friendly and helpful, and the office staff is great. Rachel is terrific!

We've been regulars at this park for years now and the park itself is nice but what really makes it work for us is the great staff. Gene, Rachel, Megan and Barbara go above and beyond and work hard to be as accommodating as possible. Yesterday, for just one example, our power started cutting out after hours. Rachel was on-call and she was very concerned about us not having A/C in the heat and so immediately arranged for an electrician to come out-we had our power back within an hour or so! Thank you!

We stayed at Encore Countryside for the month of January. The park is clean, the sites are tidy. The residents seem to genuinely care about their slice of the park. The sites aren’t big, but we had enough room to extend our awning. The concrete pad is a great addition to any camping spot. So much to do in the park/community; food trucks, BINGO, swimming pool, hot tub. Rachel, the manager, was super friendly, and helpful. When we did have a concern, she handled it quickly. Great view of Superstition Mountain and beautiful sunsets.

This is a very nice park full of very nice people, including Rachel and Meghan in the office. There are great daily activities for just about anyone who wants to partake, whether you are staying short- or long-term. There are also scheduled activities (like dances, carnivals, potluck dinners) held throughout each month (especially over the winter). Food trucks come weekly. Activities are all scheduled by the park association rather than the RV resort itself. There is a large clubhouse, a nice pool and hot tub area, a billiards room, craft room, shuffleboard court, very large library, media room (with lots of movies, games and puzzles available), fitness room and laundry facilities. The only thing that was missing was a pickleball court (which is apparently available at a sister site a couple of miles away). The spaces are very large and level - you get a hard-packed dirt space to park your rig with a large, cement pad on the door side as well as another hard-packed dirt site on the other side of the cement pad to park your tow vehicle. Though most of the spaces are also long (giving you lots of room to sit either on your cement pad or behind it), it can feel a bit crowded if you have a large rig in the next site. There were some issues with cleanliness and maintenance of the public spaces (bathroom, showers, laundry room) during our stay. While they changed cleaning companies shortly after we arrived (and we did notice a bit of an improvement in cleanliness), there were many issues with the toilets near the fitness centre. One of the toilets was not secured to the ground and would tip over, while the other was always clogged and overflowing. The on-site maintenance person did as well as he could, but it finally got to a point where even he had to complain the management about it. They finally brought in a plumber to resolve the issues, but only after the issues had existed for quite a few weeks. We experienced a god-awful stink quite a few times. We knew it wasn’t our rig as we only ever have pee in our black tank (along with lots of water). And it was beyond someone simply dumping their tanks. It was so bad the first time we experienced it (along with many others around us) that we called the after-hours emergency number, which happened to be Gene’s cell phone. He didn’t answer, nor did he call me back (ever) to say he had received the message or was doing anything about it. We didn’t get a chance to talk to the office about it the next day (a Friday) and the stink seemed to have dissipated, so we thought the issue was resolved. Until that evening when it returned and again on Sunday morning (when it was so bad it woke us up at 6am!). I finally ran into Charlie, the maintenance guy, on Monday morning (while he was dealing with the final straw in the ever-clogged toilet) and explained what had been happening over the weekend. He told me that Gene had (finally!) arranged to have the holding tanks below our site pumped out, along with several others that were apparently long overdue. (He has also arranged to have a plumber come deal with the long-standing toilet issues when Charlie threatened to quit.) No one had yet called us back to inform us that this would be happening or even when. They finally showed up on Tuesday afternoon and it was all (mostly) good after that. No one should ever be subjected to the kind of smell we experienced on more than one occasion, and it never should have gotten to that point! Pumping out (well-used) holding tanks in an older RV park is something that should be done on a regular basis, especially towards the end of a busy winter season. The people we met there were lovely and we enjoyed our stay (other than the smell). I would have given four or five stars if the management was better. However, because of the lack of seriously needed, regular maintenance, we won’t be returning to Countryside RV.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Beware of unauthorized money taken from your credit card account with no explanation. I came upon an authorized amount of $91.58 taken from my account with not explanation. When I called about it I was told it was for electric bill. (Each individual is responsible for paying electric separately for this usage while staying on lot). The fact is I left the morning of Feb 24, 2025 and informed office on way out. I have no problem with lot fee as I was booked until Mar. 1st as far as leaving earlier. I do have a problem with being charged for metered Electric 5 days when I was not there. I did not receive a bill nor did I authorize payment. I am happy to pay a prorated bill for the days my 5th wheel was physically there. I am telling others you cannot trust Countryside RV resort in Apache Junction. I wonder how many other people they have stolen money from.
