We were impressed by the quietness and the view of the Great Smoky Mountains’ foothills. The entrance to the “loop” is nearby. Hillbilly restaurant, Sloppy Hog and Tennessee Shine distillery are all in walking distance. We were so happy to get the email offering us an extension of our stay and we stayed 2 extra days. We will be staying here again!

I enjoyed the scenery around this park, it was truly stunning. My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks in October and the changing leaves did not disappoint, and the price for our stay was very fair. The laundry room was very clean and the machines were fantastic, however I was a little surprised that the only way to pay was either with your card at the machine, or by a QR code. I think some may prefer to use coins. The bath house was also clean, but the lights and fans in the individual shower areas did not work, so the stalls were very dark. Now, for the negative... There was dog poop everywhere. It was absolutely disgusting. I was worried about walking my dogs and ending up with poop on their feet or my shoes. There are several rules that do not seem to be enforced, such as cleaning up after your pet, keeping your space clean, not leaving your pets tied outside unsupervised, not allowing dogs to bark incessantly, and respecting the quiet hours. Our neighbor came home late at night several times with his music blasting from his truck, and then proceeded to tie his dogs outside who yelped and barked until he let them back inside. I was unaware that close to half of the park appears to be occupied by permanent residents, which is fine, but they seem to be the folks who have the least respect for the rules that keep everyone else's experience pleasant. I believe that the park should be more transparent about the number of fulltime residents. If you are a big rig, do yourself a favor and do not park at the back of the park in order to get a paved spot. The roadway is incredibly narrow. We have a 43 ft unit, and actually had to ask the neighboring visitors to move their vehicle so that we could maneuver into our spot. Getting out was quite a task as well. The map shows that the end of the road is a drive through to loop around to the entrance, but it has become an additional spot, creating a dead end. No campground should ever have a dead end road, that is absurd. We stayed in #60 and that spot was chosen with the understanding that we would be able to pull out easily and loop around to leave. When we arrived we realized that the "road" had been turned into an additional spot so we essentially had to pull out the wrong direction in order to leave the park. So if you are a big rig, the front spot, which happed to be gravel, will be your best bet. They are wide spots, the roadway is wider, and they appear to be level despite being gravel. Overall, our visit was not terrible, but it was stressful getting in and out, as well as being woken up in the middle of the night by the neighbor (also a fulltime resident) coming home with his loud music and barking dogs. I will not be staying at this park again, and can't say that I would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice little RV park. Spaces are adequately sized. Very quiet. We stayed for a week and had absolutely no problems. Internet went down for a short while but they were out fixing it promptly. There were restaurants and moonshine tasting within easy walking distance. Facilities were all clean and well maintained.

We stayed at Cove Creek last week for the first time. It was a great experience. The pool was closed, but honestly it was a little cool for a pool at this time of year anyway. We really enjoyed the quiet and welcoming atmosphere and loved having the pond w/fountain to enjoy while we were there. Our site next to the creek was very refreshing. We loved that we were far enough from the busy Pigeon Forge traffic, but close enough to get there in a few minutes when we wanted to. We will definitely be back and will recommend to our friends. Office staff was wonderful and restrooms/showers and laundry room were all very clean!

We stayed at Cove Creek for a week 9/14/25 to 9/20/25. The location of the park and views of the mountains are the best we have seen in the area. Being in Wears Valley away from all the Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge traffic was really nice. The park office was rarely open and we had to make a few trips back each time we wanted to speak to someone. The pool was closed the entire week too but I think that was just bad timing. We had spot #1 which was nice except for the poison ivy that was growing under the gazebo wall. I could tell it had been sprayed before but left to grow more under the fence. Maintenace did come and take care of it after we called it in. Back in July of 25 we did book site #1 for March of 2026 but were told about a month after the booking that they would have to move us as the owners wanted use of that site. Sites #1 and 46 are the best in the park with great views but neither are available for the dates we would be back in the area.
