TLDR: A WONDERFUL place for family friendly fun if you have no dog!!! DO NOT come with your dog unless you have someone always willing to stay with the dog or plan on nothing but leashed walks and trips to the ACTUAL dog park in Davison. "Dogs tolerated" would be a better description than "dog friendly". Plenty of activities, picnic areas, play equipment, walking space and a good mix of sun and shade (when there's sun... this is Michigan). If I had no dog or the run was MUCH larger and had better shade distribution through the day it would be a higher rating. Dogs aren't allowed in buildings or the "beach" and cannot be unattended. This means I can't participate in any of the activities I normally would. Which would be okay if there were an actual dog park. But with all the tree spotted area unused between the Cove and the RV's, they still chose to stick the dog run on a little corner that has no shade until afternoon and call it a dog park. I mean, maybe a couple of older dogs would be fine with just that, but my dog (and nearly every dog I've seen here so far) needs at LEAST an acre just to play with me... add other dogs and a couple acres would still be fully used! The many well maintained trails through the woods were the saving grace for my pooch and I. I'm not sure if dogs are allowed in boats because it's raining now but will update if rain stops before I leave. Also, apparently I got lucky with internet. The first little section of cabins still gets decent reception (wifi is $18+for the week). The cabins farther back have to come in towards the front to get reception and they still pay the same amount. Download movies before leaving home. As for privacy in the cabins.. the stand alone cabins are too far back to get internet. With the multiple cabin buildings, each building has 4 "cabins" and the ones on the opposite side of the shower/sink wall are fine but the ones that share a wall and emergency exit get ZERO auditory privacy. Again, if I had kids instead of a dog, I would be EXTREMELY impressed!! But I would get both the cabins sharing the wall and open the emergency exit as needed.

Ideally I'd go with 4.2 or 4.3 but since that's not an option, I'll go with 4. Stayed here 2 nights in July using PA discount. Site was tight to back into and was deep nested between trees. Dirt/gravel site. Close to bathhouse which had 2 private toilets and 2 private showers. Ramp was a little steep when walking in wet shoes. Pretty buggy in July. Lot of trees and shade. Road was gravel and then dirt/gravel. Lot of activities for campers. No campground sink.

Great place for families, especially with young children and teenagers. Lots of activities, a great beach and swimming area, amazing hand dipped ice cream in the store, a game/activity room. Lots of trees and well maintained lots. Full hook up everywhere. And most importantly at all comes at an unbeatable price.

I go here every year and love it. It is clean and the sites are relatively nice sized. Seriously need to do something about the biting black flies though. The flies send me home with my ankles and feet bitten every year, bug spray be damned. But we are camping so with that said despite the bugs and the small camp store it is an awesome venture. Just make sure you take everything you need and bug spray.

We just finished a weekend here with our church youth group, it was a fantastic experience. Donna, Tamara and all the staff were exceptional at accommodating us and making our experience a great one. The team building was outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone that is bringing a group. Thanks so much for such a great experience!!

Quiet campground off the beaten path. Would like to have been closer to our destination.

Fine place to stay. The seasonal resident at the site next to us was using power tools and doing construction. Not so quiet or peaceful.

Decent facility for groups. Our men's group came here for the second year. Good fire pit and generally nice place. The water smells of hydrogen sulfide, so bring your own for coffee and drinking. The cabins are good for twenty people at least with bunk beds, bathroom and showers. Very Clean. RV spots available, ziplining archery and swimming available. We will probably be back next year.
