Cowtown RV Park

This is not a hotel it is an RV park so there are no rooms. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There are sites to fit any RV. The Park is well located between Fort Worth and Weatherford and the surrounding area. Highly Recommend.

This place is great. Tons of pull through lots, the pricing is very reasonable, the staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s super quiet. I stayed here for several weeks and didn’t notice any excessive noise even during the day. I work from home so I’d definitely know. You’re not far from the grocery store and a few restaurants. Easy access to and from the highway. Highly recommend.

Stopped by just for a couple nights to dump tanks and relax a little while on a cross country return trip. Super friendly staff We parked on dirt/gravel space that works just fine for us. Refilled our propane tanks no problem but a little pricey as expected.

Stayed one night here while passing through. It was a memorable night due to nearby tornadoes and the sirens going off at night! Everything about this place was wonderful. The sites were great - level and well cared for. The bathrooms and showers were clean and the place was quiet. We wanted to sit outside but because of the storms we didn't want to set anything up on our site so we sat our chairs under the porch on the recroom and it worked out perfectly. Definitely recommend! Wouid stay again!

First let me say the guys that run around cleaning and helping customers are fantastic. They are very helpful and kind. The park was clean and if it wasn’t for one thing my family would stay there again. THE OLD WOMAN IN THE OFFICE. Shes very rude and will flat out yell and make you feel like you’re stupid. I’m hoping the owners see this and do something about it. You have lost my business and Based on other reviews it looks like you’ll continue to do so. Please get new management because the park is such a nice place.

We lived here for 10 months while trying to find a house. It is a great location - close to a grocery store and many good restaurants plus easy access to I-20. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The grounds are well kept. We felt very safe staying here. Great place!

This place breeds incompetence. I have been going to Cowtown RV park for over 15 years to get my propane tanks refilled. Every time I go there is someone new filling the propane tanks and I have to explain how to fill my 40 pound quick fill top load tank. However, yesterday I was told by the latest new guy that he could not fill the tank because it needed to be in an RV. I purchased this tank in 1999 and I have never used it in an RV. That is not its purpose. I showed him the most recent certification sticker from United Propane of Fort Worth dated 11/18 (3 months ago), but he still refused to fill the tank. I said OK and moved on to the next tank which was a regular fill 40 pound tank. He filled it correctly with 8.6 gallons of propane. We then moved on to the 30 pound tank and he filled it with 4.0 gallons and said it was full because the total weight was 40 pounds. I tried to explain to him that the tare (empty) weight was 24.9 pounds so the filled weight should be 54.9 (24.9 + 30) but he said it should total 40 pounds and he was done. He didn't even know the difference between a 20 pound tank, which has a total weight of 40 pounds (20 +20) and a 30 pound tank. I went to the office explained my long history as a customer and then complained about the level of incompetence displayed. I was told this person had never had a complaint before and that he had taken classes on how to fill propane tanks. My response was that he was still without a doubt completely incompetent. I was then told that I needed to take my business elsewhere and to have a good day. My response was DONE!

In reading reviews about Cowtown, it appears that folks love it or have experiences such as we encountered. When a problem arises, the manager and one of the staff employees are disrespectful and accusatory when handling these situations. In our experience, we specifically requested a one month stay that would give us time to close on the sale of our home. We were told that it was not a problem. We would pay the weekly rate for the first two weeks and then they would transfer us to “extended stay” to take advantage of a lower rate for the remainder of the stay, applying our initial $392 to the monthly rate. After we had been there a week, we found out from another employee that they had no intention of moving us to “extended stay” because our RV was too heavy and their pads were old and were not reinforced to handle larger units. A night before the end of the first two weeks, we once again asked if there was an “extended stay” location available. The heavier blonde employee told us there was no way they could move us. We reminded her of what she had initially said and she called Jane to come take care of us. They both proceeded to talk to each other in front of us about how rude we were. Finally, Jane agreed that maybe there had been a misunderstanding and she was sorry it had been unclear. She was condescending and it was clear that she was trying to get us mad enough to leave. It was a learning experience and we will be more cautious and less trusting in the future.

They escort you to your site and help hook-up IF you need it. Nice park with clean, level sites. Older sites have trees, & grass & grills. Newer sites are gravel. A FEW sites near Rally Room have birds that stay, make a mess and can be loud at times, but there's only a few. Wifi is good, but better the closer to the office you are. Nice & clean laundry & shower facilities. Nice pool. Pet friendly. Propane on site. Mail service if you need it. Small gift store in the office. Many monthly RVer's. Very nice staff. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

This park is very large and has a lot going for it! A first I wanted something woodsier, but after we stayed I saw the charm in this place. What set it off right was the staff. They made many jokes that were making everyone in the room laughing. Once we found our spot and began walking around to see everything we noticed it is very neat and clean. There could’ve been a bigger plays cape, but it’s not that much of deal my boys had a lot of fun anyways. It was all from a really outstanding price as well and I am glad we stayed here. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
