Craik & District Regional Park
Overview
Craik & District Regional Park offers a peaceful retreat situated in the scenic Arm River Valley. Known for its lush greenery and community spirit, this park serves as a welcoming oasis for travelers exploring the Saskatchewan prairies. Whether you are passing through on the Louis Riel Trail or staying for a longer summer vacation, the park provides a well-maintained natural environment that highlights the quiet beauty of the region. It is a place where the pace slows down, allowing visitors to truly connect with the outdoors.
Location & Surroundings
Conveniently located just off Highway 11, the park sits almost exactly halfway between the major hubs of Regina and Saskatoon. Despite its proximity to the highway, the site feels remarkably secluded because it is tucked within a sheltered valley setting. The surrounding landscape features rolling hills and the tranquil waters of the local reservoir, creating a picturesque backdrop for evening strolls or morning coffee. The location offers the perfect balance between highway accessibility and rural isolation.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is well-equipped for modern campers, offering a variety of sites including serviced RV hookups that cater to different rig sizes. Visitors have access to clean washroom facilities and refreshing shower houses. For recreation, the park features a nine-hole grass green golf course, which is a significant draw for the area. Additionally, families can enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool during the summer months and a centrally located playground that keeps children entertained and active throughout their stay.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Golfing is a primary pastime here, with the course offering unique challenges and views of the valley. Beyond the fairways, the town of Craik is notable for its Eco-Village initiatives, offering a unique look at sustainable living and local history. Nature enthusiasts often spend their time birdwatching along the valley slopes or fishing in the reservoir. The area is also excellent for photography, especially during the golden hour when the prairie light hits the reservoir docks and the surrounding hillsides.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination is an ideal choice for families and retirees who prefer a relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere over a high-traffic resort. It is particularly well-suited for golf enthusiasts who appreciate having a course within walking distance of their campsite. Because of its central location between Saskatchewan's two largest cities, it also serves as a perfect multi-day stopover for those trekking across the province who want a quiet night's sleep in a scenic, secure environment.

Very nice regional park. Water and 30 amp service. Nice bathrooms and free showers. Not much privacy between sites. Excellent 9 hole grass green golf course nearby.

First time trying this park in 2023. Great little place! Going to pick a different site when we come back next time to get more trees around us. Snack shack was great kids enjoyed having that, golf course was amazing Great gem on the prairies.

Fantastic campsite in the heart of Saskatchewan. Lots of nice walking trails with beautiful views and wildlife. Dog friendly and people friendly! Sites are generous, clean and level. Water is great. Firewood is dry. There is lots here for you, your kids, and your dog to do. And wifi too! A very well run campground.

It was a chilly weekend but we had a fire going and the heat on in the trailer. Met some great people and for the first time out I think we did ok. The park people were awesome as always and I think we'll be back!

Great, cozy, well-maintained little Regional park. Very clean, fairly private campsites. Pool is a large paved Basin that is gradual entry from all sides, great for little ones. Lifeguards on duty, grass area surrounds pool in order to lounge and watch the kids. Walking trail is very scenic, leads around the valley and to "The Dugout House" that replicates an original homestead sod and mud home and barn from the turn of the century... Very cool! Large family reunion area, nice playgrounds, ball diamond, concession, basic 9-hole golf course and driving range is nothing too fancy but enough to get out for a quick round. Eco-centre no longer exists due to recent fire. Overall, beautiful setting, clean park, lots of stuff to do! Will come back...
