I visited the weekend of 11/7/2025 to 11/10/2025 with a Cub Scout Pack. The camping area was fantastic, the hiking trail was well maintained and the facilities were outstanding. The staff that booked our weekend worked with us as we wanted our entire group of 15 families close to one another, and they made it happen, for that I am very grateful. We took about 30 youth to the mining field Saturday morning and they were given a brief history on the park along with a Mining 101 course led by Park Interpreter Emma O’Neal, who did an absolutely fantastic job. The kids loved her presentation, she was very knowledgeable and professional. The biggest take away for me was her ability to talk to the kids in a way they would understand. The park has a fantastic interpreter in Emma. She definitely gave the kids motivation to be able to go out to the field and search for diamonds. This location will definitely be on our list to return to in the future.

Great place to take the family! Finding a diamond is a lot harder than you'd think. We had fun finding interesting rocks to take home. It was very hot and there is some shade, but I suggest you bring a large umbrella and a cooler. The staff was super nice and very informative. You can bring your own tools and sifters or you can rent or buy them there. We had a good time!

We came in through LIT airport and chose our hotel roughly 50 miles away from the Diamonds State Park. We opted to be there when the park opens in the morning which was a great choice - less people, easier picking for a spot to start and comfortable to „work“ outside. I recommend to order the admission ticket ahead of time and online. Our group had a lot of fun and looking for the „one“ is much more challenging as it might seem. There are helpful posters and areas to learn more about the prospecting. The staff here is friendly and helpful, the entry fee and loaner fees for equipment to dig for fame are reasonable. Knowing how this all works now, we will be back at some point.

Still a great experience, even if you don't find anything! Early October is still hot but not very busy. Very friendly staff. Camp grounds was AMAZING. Wi-Fi, private showers with warm water, outlets, water fountains with water bottle fill up, well maintained and cleaned.

This was my first trip to Arkansas and it was a great one... Love the walking trails and there's so much information in the visitors center on site. You can go look around at the Diamond Mine without paying the $15.00 entry fee... They only charge if you are planning to dig... An awesome gift shop with really decent prices all around... Got most of my souvenirs from that one spot... If you are ever in Murfreesboro Arkansas you need to make a trip thru here you won't be disappointed....

The staff were very informative and knowledgeable. They were kind and considerate. The park was clean and in good condition. Wish we had gone to the interpretive program on mining 101! Bring a bucket and getting a wagon was a great choice. We wish we had planned better by having rain jackets during the rain and more hydrating drinks but that was on us ha can’t wait to go back!!! Best anniversary place we have gone 💚🎉

Visited here twice on our trip to Hot springs and will definitely be back. The mining area is well managed with helpful staff, water fountains, clean restrooms, wet-sifting stations, washing area ( to get all the dirt off before heading back to the car), and multiple covered picnic tables. We didn't find a diamond on site but took our wet-sifted gravel with us to sort at home, along with some pretty jasper and a cool quartz geode. Items to bring: water/small cooler, sunscreen, shovel, bucket, wagon, small container for the shiny pieces you find, and sifting screens. *Fun little bonus: The gift shop also has free state park books that you can stamp for each Arkansas park you visit.

The Staff were Incredibly Accommodating,Kind,Helpful and Very Informative. Their Customer Care Was second to None. If You are Looking for a Rewarding in Many ways idea For the Family to Gather and do together , This Is It. A Family that works together Will Prosper Here at The diamond Park. The Staff , Big Nick,Wesley and Justin were So Helpful and Respectful... They Have a Swimming Pool for the Kids while The Parents Dig for Diamonds. We Found A few plus a Few Black Onyx and Jasper and Crystals. We dug for 2 days and Bonded As a Family. The Rent out all You Will need On your Diamond adventure. This Is a Must Do!!! A Great Time!!! I recommend Eating at Terry's Diner in town. I recommend staying at the Queen Diamond Inn....

The most unique park in the U.S. because no where else can you search for genuine diamonds and keep what you find. Many other mine specific stones are minerals are also found there. Not everyone finds a diamond, only about one percent are lucky. Average size is less than one quarter of a carat but even small diamonds can be worth the trip and the thrill of finding one is priceless. Although most found are small, now and then, a multi carat stone is found, many of them by surface hunting. However, most "regulars" find lots of nice diamonds by washing multiple 5 gallon buckets of dirt. Wash tanks are furnished at the mine and interpreters are available to help you identify your finds.

It's definitely a "work-cation" of the vacation types so I feel like now I need a Spa-cation or something a little more relaxing but we'll worth wild doing. The only reason I say work-cation is because you are carrying your equipment and stuff with you. You're also digging for diamonds so it's outside and all that. I had my 3 fur-babies with me and we stayed by a mud hole so they could keep cool during all our fun. They let you bring your own equipment or you can buy or rent it from there so it really just depends on how much you want to plan ahead for and bring or spend and not worry about. Which I love because then it doesn't matter what your budget is this is still something very doable for everyone and hey you might find a diamond! I also appreciated the wash off area and the wagon rental made things much easier. Don't forget to take your picture in front of their sign, it even has a phone holder so you just need to set the camera timer and pose that way everyone is in the picture.

It was a nice cool morning end of April Go early in the day we found a picnic table in the shade to take a break. The ground can be slick just be aware… We are retired. Not great mobility, we enjoyed over 3 hours digging sifting meeting nice people. Didn’t find any diamonds but I would love to go back and spend the entire day. Bring snacks water to pack, you can bring folding chairs. Saw people who had wagons and their own sifters. Cheep to rent wagon, shovel,sifters, buckets… if you don’t have. (No chairs to rent). Stool for kneeling or sitting on would be useful, sun hat, water bottle for drinking. Nice gift shop and areas to rinse off when you’re finished. My shoes got soaked at the rinsing station. Wear something that can get wet. Could have brought a pick ax. The ground can be pretty hard. Great time! Planning a return trip next year We stayed in Hot Springs … 1 hour 10 minute drive to get there Had lunch when done at Terri’s Place In the town.

What a blast! From my senior mother to my toddler nephew, we all had so much fun digging for diamonds. No such luck this trip, but we'll be back for sure! The staff were all so helpful and the bathrooms were surprisingly clean considering the amount of mud outside. 5 stars, highly recommended!

This is an exceptionally well funded Park, phenomenal campsites, amazingly clean bathrooms, and well kept areas. The camp hosts are all friendly, courteous, and kind! The one sheriff deputy / park ranger who was shutting the gate to the crater while we were trying to find merely the camp grounds (take a left at the T-interection) was a little rude. I'm going to assume he had a trying day, and it was 5:36pm so I'm sure he wanted to go home... Other than that, amazing park! The Visit Center and the Crater awesome as well,
