Creekwood Resort

Overview

Creekwood Resort offers a tranquil escape in the North Georgia mountains, specifically tailored for travelers who appreciate a slower pace. It is a smaller, boutique-style park known for its meticulously maintained grounds and peaceful environment. Unlike busy family-centric resorts, this location emphasizes a quiet mountain getaway where travelers can unwind among mature hardwoods and well-manicured landscaping. It successfully bridges the gap between a rustic mountain retreat and a modern, convenience-focused resort for discerning RVers.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the historic Sautee Nacoochee Valley, the park sits on 18 wooded acres just a short drive from the Chattahoochee National Forest. The elevation provides slightly cooler temperatures and crisp mountain air, creating a distinct sense of place. Travelers will appreciate the scenic beauty of the Blue Ridge foothills, which provide a natural buffer from the bustle of the nearby tourist hubs while keeping local attractions within easy reach for daytime exploration.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed with modern RV needs in mind, featuring large, level concrete pads that easily accommodate larger rigs. Each site is thoughtfully spaced to provide a degree of privacy. On-site facilities include:

  • Full hookups featuring 30 and 50-amp electrical service and sewer.
  • Reliable high-speed WiFi and digital cable access at every site.
  • A clubhouse with a fitness center and clean, modern laundry facilities.

The property is gated, ensuring a secure environment while maintaining an open, natural feel that complements the surrounding forest.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Its proximity to Alpine Helen allows for easy day trips to enjoy German-inspired architecture, boutique shopping, and seasonal festivals. Outdoor enthusiasts are only a short drive from Unicoi State Park and the stunning double waterfalls of Anna Ruby Falls. The surrounding area is also a premier destination for the Georgia wine trail, offering numerous tasting rooms nearby. For those who prefer staying closer to camp, the local walking trails provide a great way to observe local birdlife and flora.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for adult travelers and couples looking for a serene and quiet atmosphere during their stay. It is perfectly suited for those who prioritize site quality and cleanliness over high-activity amenities like swimming pools or playgrounds. If you are an RVer seeking a peaceful mountain retreat that serves as a high-quality basecamp for exploring North Georgia, this resort offers the perfect balance of quietude and proximity to mountain adventure.

Creekwood Resort is a Diamond for your RV camping. It is not a parking lot like so many campgrounds today. Plenty of room to park no matter what kind of RV you maybe traveling in & ever so quiet with the exception of the leaves rustling in the gentle breezes of the low mountains. Melissa & Robert are very knowledgeable of the area and entertaining. A short drive to many sites or backroads to go 4x4 in your Jeep. I can whole heartly recommend to put Creekwood Resort on your list, I know we will when we return the area.

This place is amazing and the owners are even better. First let me start by saying I ended up having truck problems while pulling my 42ft fifth wheel up the mountain. Locals towed my rig to the campground and the owners waited up for me to still be able to set up the night of my original check in date. They helped us set up at 9:45 in the dark so we could sleep in our own bed and not have to get a hotel. My truck was towed to a local Chevrolet dealership and we were without a vehicle for the first day. Robert gave us a ride into Cleveland to enterprise for us to pick up our rental car until my truck was fixed. They were overly eager to help us in anyway we needed them to. Wi-Fi was fast and we had no problems. Hook ups were simple and sites were level which made for a quick set up! Robert and Melissa made what started out a terrible trip into memorable and pleasurable experience and we can’t thank them enough! 100% will be back!

We recently stayed at Creekwood RV resort and loved the service we received. I picked the campground because it was adult only and a smaller park. We had a terrible experience off site with our dog getting attacked by a pit bull at Anna Ruby Falls. The owners went out of their way to make our trip not so devastating. . We had to cancel all of our activities because of several vet visits and stabilize our dog. We extended our stay and we are grateful for these owners. I saw a comment by another review about their rules. I say thank you Mielissa and Robert for your rules that make your guest enjoy THEIR time at your park. Beautiful park…Beautiful People.

Very pretty area, but we just couldn’t get past all the weird rules. Like you can only play corn hole between noon and 4 pm, only certain dog breeds are allowed, men aren’t allowed to walk around shirtless (women weren’t included in this rule; *Shania Twain voice* let’s go girls), only spit in a bottle and not on the ground, just very odd and specific rules that I’ve never heard of at a campground. Definitely read the rules and regulations page on their website and you’ll see what I mean. And the owners are nice, but they don’t stay out of your business. They either sit out on the porch or drive around on a golf cart all day watching everyone. Gotta make sure no one breathes too loud or has too much fun!! We’ve been all over the country and have stayed at tons of campgrounds and have never had the owners in our business and be so picky about things like they are here. Not to mention the female owner is right up on you as soon as you get there to “help” you park your RV, but she’s really just in the way. We’ve done this a million times. We know how to park this thing. Oh and last but not least, the wifi kinda sucks.
