Crescent Junction RV Park

Overview

Crescent Junction RV Park serves as a practical and scenic gateway for travelers exploring the high country of the Oregon Cascades. Nestled within the Deschutes National Forest, this park offers a straightforward camping experience that prioritizes proximity to nature. It is a well-regarded choice for those traversing the scenic byways of Central Oregon, providing a reliable home base that balances accessibility with the quiet charm of the surrounding woods. Whether you are passing through on a long journey or staying for a week of alpine activities, the park provides a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Location & Surroundings

The park is strategically positioned near the junction of Highway 58 and Highway 97, making it an ideal high-altitude retreat for cross-state travelers. Surrounded by towering ponderosa pines, the atmosphere is distinctly alpine and refreshing. Guests are just minutes away from the pristine waters of Crescent Lake, where the mountain air remains cool even during the peak of summer. The location provides a sense of forest seclusion without being disconnected from essential travel routes and local services.

Amenities & Park Features

While the setting is rugged, the park provides essential comforts to ensure a smooth stay for modern travelers. The layout is designed to accommodate various rig sizes, featuring spacious pull-through sites that simplify arrival for larger motorhomes and trailers. On-site facilities are maintained to provide a comfortable experience in the wilderness. Key features include:

  • Full hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp electricity.
  • Clean restroom and shower facilities for guest use.
  • On-site laundry and pet-friendly areas for travelers with animals.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will find themselves in a prime location for mountain adventure. A short drive leads to Odell Lake, a premier spot for fishing and boating, or the impressive Salt Creek Falls, one of Oregon’s highest waterfalls. For those willing to venture further, the northern entrance of Crater Lake National Park is within a reasonable driving distance for a day trip. The area is also crisscrossed with trails perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and seasonal berry picking deep in the forest.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an excellent fit for adventure-seeking families and outdoor hobbyists who want a no-frills, comfortable base near the lakes. It is particularly ideal for Cascade Range explorers who prioritize being close to trailheads and boat launches over high-end luxury resort amenities. Lovely site, surprisingly quiet, great rate. Camp host Karen and her husband made reservations and check in easy. 3 sets of washer dryers, shower and full hook ups. AT&T works up here, T-Mobile does not. Would stay again!

Very clean park. Flat sites and cement pad with a picnic table. Lake road and the lake were closed due to fires, so we didn't get that part. 50" from cater lake. Odell lake is gorgeous. Bathrooms and showers were clean. A few long term campers there, but not too many. Restaurant across the street had wifi. Park had zero service or wifi, which is a drag. General store and gas next door, so that was handy.

Very friendly helpful camp hosts, reasonable rates, clean and well maintained campground, right off the highway, easy to find. There's a convenient store just around the corner, and it's not to far from Crescent lake.

Camp host were awesome! Park is laid out well close to side by side trails and plenty of fishing. We stay here a couple times a year!!
