Amazing place for a weekend getaway! The lake is clean, the beach is nice, and the campsites are spacious with water and power. There are washrooms and showers, and it's very peaceful – perfect for families. Highly recommend for camping and relaxing!

This is a really nice Alberta lake campground. The sites are a little close, but are wooded, so they feel private enough. The campground does a good job in keeping your group together, too, so the other trailers of our party were immediately close by both years we came. There is also a lot of water taps of potable water, which is great! There is never a need to walk far to find clean water! Plus, the showers are free! Which is pretty epic. The lake is beautiful in the summer months of June to mid August, good enough for swimming and scenic for photography. Those with boats who like to fish, I do not think there was ever a time we went out without bites. Pulling in fish to mainly cut them loose happened often. Jackfish mostly. The beach has nice sand, mostly free of rocks, it has the beach volleyball then lots more beach. It is the only beach (I believe) but it is spacious enough for building and playing and relaxing without being too close to other parties. There is also wildlife here and some groomed trails. Consult the map on signs throughout the campground as the trails are not well marked with signs while you are on them. We saw various water fowl with their little ones, squirrels, deer, and even a young black bear on one of the longer trails. Note that the phone reception here is very spotty. The nearest Telus tower is across the lake, so at the waterfront you will get the clearest reception. So, when you need to make calls or scroll for a few minutes, head down to those beautiful lake views. Great trips both years so far, I believe we will keep coming here in the future.

Great spot for camping and fishing. Spots near the water are definitely ideal for getting out on the water quickly. Lots of perch and pike to be caught. Campsite was a good size and private with the tree coverage.

Very nice campground, the lake was nice and clean compared to other lakes. Site 29 was amazing. The deers 🦌 were playing around our site. Nice beach and good biking and hiking trails, also you should try the ice cream. The only thing that needs to be taken care of was the flush toilet. Overall, it was a very good experience.

We have been camping in Alberta for many years and for whatever reason we have not gone to Cross Lake previously. I must confess that I was very surprised at how we could have missed such a beautiful camping spot for so many years. We went during the week in August so it was not very busy at all. Stayed in a pull through sight and it was extremely spacious. More room than we needed, but nice to have the extra space. The sites were very well kept and there were attendants driving around very frequently maintaining all aspects of the park. The shower and flush toilets were extremely clean and well maintained. As were all of the non-flush toilets that we encountered. There are a variety of trails and they are well kept. Lawns and open areas are mowed and well maintained. There are a lot of picnics sites and group activity areas. Beach was in good shape and fairly spacious, however because of algae, could not go into the water. There are two playgrounds that are a decent size that our granddaughter enjoyed. We were there for 4 days with a younger child and had no problems keeping her occupied. Truly a gem that we will be back to many times.

Caught our fish even before we had finished setting up

What an actual amazing place, there's shower, campsites, fullbathrooms, good people who are like minded and want a peaceful getaway. Please remove all garbage, please do not litter on road side, I beg of you, I am indigenous and I remove garbage when I see it, but diapers, food wrappers, Starbucks, Tim Hortons and beer cans do belong on the land my ancestors have given me to protect, thank you ,bless you and please enjoy your selves

First time staying here. Sites are clean and good size. Well-maintained hiking trails. Only problem was the dump station: one dump hole had no cap and the other had a rock over it. Feel this is inadequate for the amount of use on a daily basis.

This campground never fails. Big campsites. Very clean and well maintained. Dog friendly and have great trails around. 😀

Better be careful if you have a fire going, it’s pouring rain, and you can see it from your trailer door, some power tripping conservation officer will come and threaten a ticket for an unattended fire - 🙄BORING! What a joke.
