Trashy place. You think being in the mountains it be great for those retired. No water or electricity. Yet still charge lot rent. I mean making 10 to 15 grand a month, where's the money going? Now they want to evict my dad because i said dont pay rent until the fix the electricity, its in the lease that its included.. Not safe and not managed well at all. I hope the state park takes over and makes it great again!! Poorly managed once the son in law took over. I ask prior residents as well.. I really hope thurmont does something about this place

I used to stay there with my family to camp from 1965-1995ish and it was so nice. Now it is a dump site for trash and ancient embedded trailers and skeery dudes. I drove in to check it out today and turned around to get out asap. DO NOT GO THERE!

Super disgusting camp ground. Pool, Haha yeah right. Empty and horrendous. Super creepy but not in a good way. Do not recommend. Btw if you value your car or truck don't attempt to even go up into the drive way!

DO NOT GO HERE. NOT SAFE. All campers have been here forever it seems, made permanent homes here. Trash and stray cats everywhere. We were just looking for a RV dump site, we locked our doors and got out ASAP. Cars at this place were there so long, they had moss growing on them.

Never stayed and never would/will. Trash piled everywhere, I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they have a rat problem.

It looks scarey because the trash dump is at the entrance. Very wooded lots...backs up to Cunningham Falls Park. Some are spacious and private, some are close together. It is a safe place. Many folks live there year round and are friendly. My neighbor was loud ..that was my chief complaint. The road into the campground and around the park is rough (messed up my waterpump after 3 months coming and going) and the infrastructure could all use some upgrading ...roads, electric service. The park is close to Thurmont..a lovely little town that has everuthing you need...good eats! , very nice library too.

Extremely run down. Trailers in disrepair strewn all over the place. Water barely had enough pressure to make it out of the faucet, certainly not enough to get anything into our tank. Pitch was so boggy that we had to lock the differential and dig 12 inch ruts to get the truck out. Can't really say anything good about the place, except that it is convenient for Catoctin Mountain NP.
