Solid weeds, Grass not mowed and lots of generators running 24-7. Not a pleasant stay at all

Nice place but may feel over crowded at capacity. Pretty empty for my stay.

Place looks like it was abandoned by MN DNR. Stayed about 2 weeks ago...early July 2024. Lawn looked like it hadn't been mowed all year Host camper looks to be abandoned at end of camping season 2023, Dock was so full of bird poop you couldnt walk on it!. ONLY think nice was outhouse had TP.

After the storm I heard that this place was pretty trashed. They cleaned it up nice. Vaulted toilets with fire rings at the campsite with picnic tables. Basic amenities. No one was there. State Forest right next to the campground. I caught fish non-stop off the dock. Sorry but I had a blast there, and I was right by the water.

Rustic, state forest campground - not many campers late in the fall. Has vault toilets and large campsites immediately next to the lake, a small boat access, a small dock, and gorgeous sunsets. Most campsites equipped with a fire ring and picnic tables. Cell coverage can be spotty; site reservation requires downloading the Yodel app. Google maps sometimes gets confused about where you enter the campground, but overall, great value, especially for $17/night.

This is a mostly quiet lake. There are only a couple dozen cabins on the whole lake. It was damaged by storms last year, but it is open. There are trees down and could be cut up to use for firewood. A few sites border the lake, although there are a lot of lily pads near the shore. Primitive with 4 vault toilets. Good tree coverage for shade but not very much between sites for privacy.

Good old days

Clean and pretty setting. No power and therefore people bring generators, so if that bothers you this might not be the place for you. Everybody was respectful of quiet hours.

Hella bomb. Fit for a dog named brococcini. If its good enough for him it is good enough for you!

Campsites a little closer than we like. Lots of deer flies. Lake access close by. Far away from town and everything. We passed.
