It is a good park for evening walk or a sweet family time. It is not for heavy hiker, but can be considered as a family hiking place. The dancing Rabbit trail and Lake Ponder trail a good place to walk. I would say Lake Ponder a 5/10 minutes short walk and Dancing Rabbit a 30/35 minutes walk. Sweet, beautiful, and clean place.

Year 15 of fall pics with my best friend. Such a gorgeous place! The staff at the gift shop were so helpful. And we even made friends with other visitors.

Very nice AR state park. We would certainly come back. It's on a predominantly Shortleaf Pine forest ridge that rises above farm fields of the AR delta that grows rice for miles. The forest features some very tall & old growth pines & hardwoods - it's beautiful. Park also features a beautiful CCC log-cabin style built pavilion with a dance floor & bathhouse on a little swim lake with a beach. Campground has nice fairly level & paved RV sites and a nice tent-only area. Picnic table was nice & clean, but its not on a level, paved, or rocked pad (the only downer in his park, but not enough to give it a star less). Bathrooms are basic no-frills, but very clean with H/C showers.

Really nice quiet place to camp. Thousands of small frogs by the lake was a surprise. Good trails even if there a a lot of roots to step over. Nice little lake. Camp hosts and rangers are very nice and accommodating. The little store is cute. Satellite service was sketchy even with Starlink. Bathrooms could have used a bit more attention but nothing horrible.
