After driving 6 hours we were turned away because a school bus had arrived just moments before we did. Even tho I had called days in advance to confirm we would me able to tour the mine at a certain time. The lady working the desk was very rude and kept changing her story trying to say I had made a reservation for 2 different times (neither time was accurate) and had not showed up on time. It was very clear they saw an opportunity to make more money with a bus full of people and couldn't be bothered with us. No apology, just a complete lack of accountability or concern. I was very disappointed with the way we were treated and would hate for someone else to travel the distance to find the same fate.

Hands down the best hospitality I’ve received at any camp ground. Our car broke down and my father in law had to come grab our trailer with his truck 5hrs away. When our hitch didn’t fit his truck right, the staff were more than willing to help. They got their tools and went right to work to help get us back in the road. The location is also great right off the freeway. Highly recommend!!!

This place is fantastic! What a great tour!! It was really informative and fun even for a toddler. I rated this a 4 out of 5 stars only because they have only one bathroom on site for the campground and it doesn’t have any shower facilities. The RV sites are good size , even though it’s right off the highway it wasn’t hard to sleep at all. The whole facility is clean and well kept. It isn’t flashy or fluffy like some camp grounds . It doesn’t have a play ground, laundry room or more than one bathroom but it does have charm and pizzazz. The shooting range for kiddos is fun, the on site museum and gold mine are all so cute. You can even do a little gold panning! So fun for an over night stay , a lot to do in a little town.

This is a great adventure as much as it is a little hidden Gem right off of I90. I took a day trip from Spokane roughly an hour and 20 minute drive give or take. There is an RV Park attached to it that looked really nice. I choose to do the Mother load package and it was a blast. My inner child was extremely happy. Learning about the mine and seeing the Veins of quartz from small to big was absolutely amazing. It does have some low points you have to duck your head on other wise it is pretty accessible. I do not recommend taking wheel chairs or if you have any difficulties walking on slick surfaces. There is fun to be had for the whole family from the gift shop, the mine tour, panning for gold or gemstones, digging for fossils, and an arcade game that you can shoot the star out to win a prize (I was close). I spent about 2 hours here and it was amazing worth the trip. The pricing is really affordable with different packages. Need a day adventure or even a weekend adventure I would truly check this place out. I know I will be back!

We did not stay at this location, but we did the gold mine tour and panned for gold at the end of the tour as well. Both activities were extremely fun, and worth the expense. The mine tour was very informative and interesting. Panning for gold afterwards was an added bonus, and there are other activities and options to add if you like. They have a nice gift shop to purchase various snacks and interesting souvenirs. Would recommend this place and experience.

We had an amazing time with all the activities and loved panning for gold!!! The staff was beyond excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They even ran me into town for milk at one point!!!

It's a fun place. The people were nice and informative. Very kid friendly. Has bathroom. Has a gift shop with gems and gold baggies. Easy walk through with the guided tour. Definitely a fun a little stop. We did not camp but we plan too and the RV park looked well kept.

Went on a mine tour. Informative. Showed up just after a tour started but rather than waiting for the next one (half hour) I was able to join the current as they weren't that far into the mine. No stairs. Well lit. Welcome to take pics but no video! Found big foot ha! Comfortable degrees down there. Wasn't very long, maybe 30 minutes possibly longer if there are a lot of questions?? After the tour hit the "panning" area outside to learn and find a few treasures.

Was absolutely gorgeous and so much fun! I went with a tour group, the mine is amazing to see and the guide was super knowledgeable and made it so much fun! They have a little gift store that sells some really neat things to remember it by, as well as jewelry and kids toys. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I went here with my grandchildren for a fun adventure, and we had an amazing time. The tour with Destiny was so informative and exciting down in the mine! She has a real flair for telling historical stories. We also panned for gold and gems and went sluicing. It was an incredible morning!!! Thanks Destiny!!! You were the best😁

Loved the tour. Tour guide so informative! And gave us a tour even after hours. He had already done his last tour for the day. Yes we tipped him.

Such cool history here that the owners are happy to tell you all about. Very unique to see a mine with assets still inside used for education farther than profit. Highly recommended if you find yourself in this somewhat remote area/small town.

Had a great learning experience. Owner took us through and showed off his knowledge and love for the mining. Visit with friends and family, worth it.
