Would you believe they asked for 975.00 a month for an RV SPOT!! NO WONDER NEW MEXICO IS THE SLUM LORD HEADQUARTERS OF THE US.!!! AND ppl ask " why are they're so many homeless" It's because NM has no cap for what landlords can charge!! And they take advantage of it!! This one is a prime example of this!!

There are 10 units looking for a place to stay en route to the Balloon Festival in October. We tried to call the RV Park several times but received no answer and no return call when we left a message. We started making reservations through Reserve America. Then someone was able to get a response at the park. The owner text “ If you know who they are please tell them to contact me directly. I will have to advise them that my park is full and will not be able to accommodate them. They will have plenty of time to make other accommodations. I apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you!!”. The reservations remain open today on Reserve America. All who made reservations cancelled and lost money for the cancellation fee. When we talked to Reserve America today they advised there are still sites open at this park. This was a three day process and 20 people involved. Was completely not expecting to be treated this way. Make sure you get in touch with the park before making reservations online.

Owner was very friendly and so easy to talk to. My Husband stayed while working in the area and had nothing but good things to say. I joined him for a few days during a snow storm. We needed a ladder to remove snow from our pull outs and the owner was really helpful and just an all around kind person.

Phenomenal campground! Everything is clean and well maintained. Rick was incredibly helpful and made us feel welcomed immediately. Grass is kept short to help watch for snakes. Everything is smooth, spots are level and easy to access. The park is laid out with campers in mind. We were supposed to stay for at least a month but had to leave early because of work. Rick was easy to work with and communicate with about the change in plans. Will definitely stay here whenever we are in the area.

We stayed here with Rick for 3 months in our Travel Trailer, Rick was very accommodating and helpful during the whole stay. He was always prompt with filling our propane, making sure we got our mail and keeping things tidy around the park. If he isn’t in the office he’s more than likely working on something new around the park or just keeping it maintained. He also has a large storage area in the back, laundry, restrooms, a few airbnbs on site, a playground and a horse hotel! great views and no complaints.

We just stopped through for water, the owner greeted us with a smile and warm handshake and gladly extended courtesy and asked for no payment. I would gladly stay here if I had the opportunity. The negative review did not jive with what I observed. Clearly mostly nice campers visiting and I thought a very nice location. Highly recommend.

Google Maps is off a little bit.... Don't turn on County road 2B. STOP TURN AROUND. Our licence plate was stolen while we slept. This is not a safe place for travelers. It's filled mostly with permanent residents. It's a place where one needs lighting on outside to keep away prowlers.

So I am making a comparison to another campground in the area and wow is there a big difference in the favor of Cuervo Mountain. There is good space so you can park vehicles on both ends of the camper if needed, there is a regular trash pick up everyday or every other day, people clean up after pets and the place is fairly clean in general and each space has a picnic table. The owner, Rick is super friendly and helpful. It is a wee bit out of town off the interstate about 10 minutes or so, but worth it to be someplace a bit nicer.

Looked more like a place for contractors who would be working in the area for some time. Not that was a negative. We were there for two days and never really saw anyone except from a distance. Interesting place with construction in bits and pieces everywhere. Sites were gravel and dust, but a good width. Nothing around except a Mexican restaurant about three miles down the road. We really felt like we were in the desert. Probably won't be going back.
