Cultus Lake Provincial Park (Delta Grove Campground)

Overview

Cultus Lake Provincial Park's Delta Grove Campground offers a classic West Coast camping experience that has drawn families for generations. Nestled among towering Douglas fir and cedar trees, it provides a tranquil setting right on the eastern edge of the water. As one of the most popular destination parks in the Fraser Valley, Delta Grove provides a balanced environment where the sounds of the forest meet the gentle lapping of the lake. It serves as a peaceful retreat for those who want to experience the natural beauty of British Columbia without sacrificing accessibility to local conveniences.

Location & Surroundings

Located on the shore of one of the province's most beloved lakes, Delta Grove is defined by its dense forest canopy and immediate waterfront proximity. The surrounding terrain includes steep mountain slopes and lush wetlands that create a sense of isolation from the outside world. The campground feels remarkably secluded despite being just a short drive from the bustling community of Cultus Lake. This serene waterfront atmosphere highlights the rugged geography of the region while providing easy access to the Chilliwack River Valley for further exploration.

Amenities & Park Features

As a provincial park facility, Delta Grove focuses on providing essential amenities in a well-maintained, rustic environment. Visitors have access to flush toilets and hot showers, which are a significant benefit for those staying in smaller campers or trailers. While there are no hookups available for RVs, the park provides the following features:

  • A nearby sani-station for convenient waste disposal.
  • Gravel-based sites equipped with picnic tables and fire rings.
  • Direct walking access to pebble beaches and communal boat launches.

The sites are specifically designed to incorporate the natural landscape, with mature foliage providing privacy between neighbors.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The area surrounding the park is a hub for recreation and family-friendly fun. Many visitors take advantage of the Cultus Lake Waterpark or the Adventure Park located just minutes away for a day of excitement. Hikers will enjoy the trek up Teapot Hill, which offers a rewarding view of the lake through the trees. Boating, paddleboarding, and fishing are the primary draws for those spending time on the water. Additionally, golf enthusiasts will find several well-rated courses within a short drive of the campground entrance.

Who This Park Is Best For

Delta Grove is ideal for self-contained RVers who prefer a nature-focused stay over a modern resort-style experience. It is a perfect match for families who enjoy a mix of outdoor adventure and local attractions. If you value privacy and mature trees over high-speed internet and full utility connections, this campground offers the quintessential Pacific Northwest getaway. It caters specifically to those who enjoy unplugging and immersing themselves in the fresh, damp air of the temperate rainforest while staying within reach of a vibrant summer community.

Enjoyed our double campsite at Delta Grove. Site was very clean and had small beach/access to the lake off the back of our site which made the experience even better. Would stay at this campground again!

I have been camping a few times a year every summer for the past few years and this campground was one of the worst experience! the bathroom/showers were extremely dirty all the time (the picture below was taken at 9 Am). The campground was very close to the road and noisy all the time!

Your site was right on the lake and it was fantastic! The site was quite level and spacious. The outhouse was better than most but not the best I have been in. Overall it has been great so far!
