Cultus Lake Provincial Park (Entrance Bay Campground)

Overview

Entrance Bay Campground is a premier destination within Cultus Lake Provincial Park, offering a quintessential British Columbia outdoor experience. Nestled under a dense canopy of Douglas fir trees, this campground provides a serene escape for RVers who value nature over resort luxuries. It serves as a popular gateway for families looking to enjoy the freshwater beauty of one of the Fraser Valley's most iconic lakes.

Location & Surroundings

Situated on the eastern shore of Cultus Lake, the campground is approximately 11 kilometers south of Chilliwack. The landscape is characterized by lush coastal forest and immediate proximity to the water. While the sites are tucked away in the trees, the stunning mountain backdrop and the crystal-clear lake are just a short walk from your campsite, creating a perfect balance between forest seclusion and waterfront access.

Amenities & Park Features

As a provincial park facility, Entrance Bay focuses on natural simplicity. RVers will find paved parking pads and spacious sites equipped with fire rings and picnic tables. While there are no electrical or water hookups, the park provides hot showers and flush toilets, which are highly valued by dry campers. Water is available via communal taps, though it is always wise to arrive with a full tank in your rig.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The primary draw is the lake itself, which is ideal for swimming, kayaking, and powerboating. For those who enjoy a climb, the nearby Teapot Hill Trail offers a whimsical hike with views of the valley. Families often venture just outside the park boundaries to visit the Cultus Lake Waterpark or the Adventure Park, making it easy to transition from a quiet morning in the woods to an afternoon of high-energy fun.

Who This Park Is Best For

This campground is ideal for self-contained RV travelers and families who appreciate a rustic, traditional camping environment. It is perfect for those who want to disconnect from technology and spend their evenings around a crackling campfire. Because the sites accommodate mid-sized RVs and trailers, it is a top choice for British Columbia residents and road trippers seeking a scenic, nature-focused stay near the water.

There are mice! Our tent has a living room area that does not fully zip, we hear mice running through at night, and leaving droppings. We are absolutely sure we did not have any food in the tent. We also had lights on the whole night, they still got in. Can barely sleep because of the sounds those rats were making. There are also looooots of caterpillars dropping from the tree, onto tent, table, and car. The washrooms are clean. Environment is peaceful. Close to trails and lake. Will not visit again!

My favorite campground in Cultus Lake - good sites, good amenities, friendly staff and Seven Sisters Trail starts right in the campground.

I’d rate this 4.5 out of 5. Everything was great except that the campsite is a bit too close to the street, so you can still hear cars passing by at night. That said, the site is very clean, well-organized, and conveniently located near the lake, Cultus Lake Water Park, and Adventure Park. There are a few trails in the area and plenty of shops nearby. Best of all, there’s cell service here, which may be important to others (though I didn’t mind either way). The highlight of our trip was getting lucky enough to witness the northern lights by Cultus Lake—it was truly amazing and saved me a few thousand dollars from a trip to Yellowknife! With that, I’m giving this trip a full 5 out of 5. It was the best and most memorable way to wrap up our summer vacation."

I can't tell you the biggest secret ... Or I will lose this spot next time. I just want to say I had the best site. It was spacious and clean. Best is that the place was level! No sliding off your air mattress cuz you set up your tent on a slope. We're were steps away from the garbage bins (no smell from where we stayed), the bathrooms ( 3 stalls and one shower. Can get busy at times and the hand dryer is quite loud. We can hear it from our site), potable water tap for all your water needs and the beach about a 6 min walk and across the street. Very doable with a wagon. Best thing about this park was how clean the Rangers kept the facility. I'm shocked. I didn't see any gross sights in the bathroom. Showers were kept nice. Just a stellar job from the parks board. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and like this campsite better than delta grove. Will come back next year and more!
