This is a great park. We visited in early October - the sweet spot between summer (we've heard there are too many boats and kids), and hunting season. The lake was quiet, the fall colors were great, and the park staff were really nice. While here for 5 nights, we visited Republic (fossil digging was surprisingly fun) and the brewery was excellent. We also rode the section of bike trail from Curlew (town) to the border (20 miles round trip, all flat). Hiking options too, but we didn't hike this time.

Such a beautiful lake, the views here are incredible! There are plenty of campsites, and while there isn’t a ton of privacy between them, the location and easy water access more than make up for it. Perfect spot if you enjoy being right by the lake, swimming, or just relaxing by the water.

Beautiful Park. Family swimming area. Camping spots for Rv's and tents. Nice Showers . Boat Lauch , Horse shoe pits and hiking trails.

Site 75 is the best one on the lower loop, 4 stars and not 5 because the parking is little bit weird. Super calm and quiet place.

The park was nice. The bathrooms/showers were always clean. There was only a little hiking, and it was not a lot of space per each campsite, which was why it lost one star. But overall a good time. We visited in early August so no fires allowed. Check-in process was simple and thorough.
