Curt Gowdy is one of my favorite places to photograph. I shoot here regularly, and every single session is beautiful in its own unique way. The views, the light, and the Wyoming scenery are unmatched — it’s always a joy to create memories out here. — K. Marlow Photography, LLC

If you haven't put this on your bucket list, you really need to. The drive to the place is absolutely stunning from either direction that you come. The colors in Wyoming are so diverse that almost any picture you take could be entered into a picture contest highly recommended for the outdoors type.

Beautiful park! The debit card machine was down and I didn’t have cash. The man working the visitor center was very helpful. The restrooms were clean. Trails were beautiful and worth every entrance penny. The aspens were beautiful in early October.

Spent the day hiking. Beautiful scenery and loved the view on the way to Hidden Falls. Be prepared to get in the water to see the waterfall. End of Sept the water was chilly but worth it! Water was about knee deep.

Curt Gowdy State Park is absolutely stunning! The scenery here is breathtaking—rolling hills, unique granite formations, crystal-clear lakes, and endless skies that make every corner of the park feel magical. The trails are so well kept and offer something for everyone, from peaceful hikes and fishing spots to exciting mountain biking routes and hidden waterfalls. The sunsets over the reservoirs are unforgettable, and it’s one of those places where you can truly slow down and soak in the beauty of nature. Wildlife is abundant, the air feels fresh and pure, and the whole park has such a vibrant, calming energy. Whether you’re looking for adventure or just a peaceful escape, this park is perfection. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Wyoming—it’s a true gem!

We stayed in a cabin and it was clean and well maintained and easily sleeps 6 with room to spare. The cabin has air conditioning, a mini fridge and a microwave. There was a wood burning stove and a picnic table outside for cooking food and eating. The pit toilet was the cleanest I have ever seen. There is also a 24 hour coin shower at the visitor center. There are wonderful hiking trails for all levels of hikers. Slabz is a challenge but the views were worth the hike. Hidden Falls is a longer hike but worth it. The water is VERY cold.

Beautiful park. Great hikes. The system for finding a campspot if you don't have reservations is confusing because you have to drive around and find them. No map provided. If the guest center is open you can take showers on the bottom level. I think it was .75 for 3 minutes.

This is a beautiful state park! We stayed in JH2, a new section. The site was very long and spacious and we were able to level fairly easily although we noticed that some of the sites were pretty sloped. Our view was amazing and the walks we took on the trails within the park were great. They do not have a good after-hours check in process. It's a good thing I had written down which site we had reserved because I would not have known where to go otherwise. We plan to return to this beautiful park someday.

Caught a perfect spring day on Saturday this past weekend. Good quiet spot at Crystal Lake with electrical hookups. Beautiful hike along the reservoir on the Cliffhanger trail. Downside: headwinds traveling with a trailer, and ticks. Check for ticks often this year. I found an uninvited hitchhiker on the back of my neck on Sunday. Have fun, be well!

Nice place to relax. We were very early in the season, so it was almost empty. Still, the showers and flush toilets were open 24 hours a day, along with pit toilets closer to the sites. We got a site with electric and, because we were sleeping in a pickup cap, this came in handy for our electric heater as the temp dipped into to 20s. I would highly recommend this area.
