We had a tent site so not sure what the cabins are like. There's a small kitchen with a sink and microwave for everyone at the campground to use. Good location, reasonable rates. The owner was very sweet. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in a cabin #7. It was great! Perfect for our needs. Check in was very smooth. Bath house was always clean. Very quiet at night. Very large, well lit sign in front so you know where to turn in. The only thing we wished was that the cabin had screens on the windows so we could leave them open at night. We would definitely stay here again.

We were traveling from NE to SD at the end of June with my family of 6 and a 32 foot camper in tow! I had booked this campsite months in advance and was very excited to stay there! When we pulled into Custer the tire on our camper flew off, so I had to limp it to a near by side street. We were 6 minutes away from the campsite and were already getting into town a few hours later than anticipated. I called the campground to let them know the situation. The lady one the phone was so sweet and was trying to walk me through this stressful situation. Especially since I had no idea just how bad the damage to our camper ended up being. She put the campground owner on the phone and he tried to give me some ideas, then he decided he was just going to come to us and see how he can help get the camper to the site so we at least had somewhere to stay while we were there. He came to us and we all decided there was no way we were going to be able to move the camper. He called some local people that owned a shop to try and help us as well. Since we could not move the camper and it was already late we were trying to figure out what we were doing for the night. The campground owner had one other cabin available for the night and he gave it to us, so that we had somewhere to sleep for the night. This was a terrible and stressful way for us to start our family vacation. They helped in everyway they could and went above and beyond to help us navigate the situation. Not only was the customer service amazing but they also kept the bathroom areas very neat and clean! They are such great people and really helped make our trip amazing, especially with the first part of the trip going so horrible! I can't say enough good things about the people that own this campground (I unfortunately don't remember names!). They were so sweet and amazing! When we make it back to Custer we will defiantly be staying here again!

This campground is such a gem! The grounds are very well maintained, and every tent site comes with its own fire pit and picnic table—some even have cozy porch swings, which is such a nice touch. There’s a good mix of options: some tent sites you park and hike up to, while others you can back right into (though those are a bit closer together). The great thing is that it doesn’t usually get overly crowded, so if you’re tent camping you can often find yourself a site with a couple of spots of space between you and other campers, which makes it feel peaceful and private. The campground itself is really nice to walk around and explore. The restrooms are separated for men and women, with free showers inside that are clean, well kept, and surprisingly good on water pressure. I felt very safe and comfortable here the whole time. Laundry room is also nice with several washer/dryer set ups. Coin operated and seating and tables if you choose to wait for your clothes but we felt comfortable starting a load and hanging back at our campsite. They also sell detergent if you need it. There’s also a camp kitchen with charging stations and handy camping items you can borrow, plus firewood available for purchase on-site. We stayed at an electric-only RV site with our truck and rooftop tent and had a wonderful experience. Overall, it’s a welcoming and thoughtfully maintained place to camp, and we’ll definitely be back.

An absolute gem! We were in Custer State Park struggling to find a tent spot and started driving to town when we passed by this place. We gave them a call and thankfully they had availability for the night. The people checking us in were so helpful and nice and got us squared away super quick. The site was by the pines, had a great fire pit, benches, and fit our 2 person tent. The bathroom/showers were clean and a great amenity in the morning. Loved it!
