A few pictures of our stay at The Damsite in Truth or Consequences. They will be closed from November 18th till Labor Day in 2025 to do some maintenance on the property and campsites. A definite must stay if you’re coming through later next year. We saw an owl along our walk with beautiful views all around. The wind picking up a lot adding to the adventure at night 😳😆 They have a lot of casitas for rent as well as a group campsite. No Wi-Fi up here and I must say it is a good thing!! Can’t wait to see the upgrades!

We camped here in our camp trailer over Thanksgiving weekend. It was super peaceful. There were hardly any people camping. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. The view is magnificent. We really got lucky with the weather. My only problem is that they charge a $25 pet fee. I wouldn’t have a problem with the pet fee if they supplied doggy poo bags and made people clean up their poo. But we paid $25 and there was poop everywhere. Also, there were goat heads in our RV spot. I know these things can’t be avoided sometimes but if you’re going to charge a $25 pet fee, the least you could do is require people to clean up after their pets or supply poo bags or clean it up yourself. But don’t charge $25 if there’s going to be poo everywhere. I can also see a pet fee if you are staying in the cabins. But we were in an RV and so it doesn’t make sense to charge a $25 pet fee for camping unless you are providing a poo cleaning service. Lol.

Excellent view, quiet and comfortable. We camped on the beach last year and it just didn't work for us so we decided to try these cabins out. We rented #5, there is a 2 night minimum, we were called ahead of time by the caretakers and they left the keys in the unit and the AC on. No tv , a little kitchenette, two queen beds, shower without a tub and a mini fridge. The place was amazing and the people who ran the establishment were friendly and attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about the area, not to mention the donuts, coffee and peanuts to feed the rock squirrels. We will definitely be back to enjoy the hospitality and the landscape. Unit #5 had the free wifi booster on the building so our phones worked amazing compared to being on the beach. Thank you Will, Gwendolyn, Alex and crew we appreciate the experience and effort.

I don't know how good the lodging is. But the Marina is awesome. Alex is a wonderful guy who takes care of the Marina

Making full time rvers move so people have a chance to come in for 2 weeks at a time. Water is not safe to let your dogs drink. Boating is ok. Beautiful on Winding Road camping, no hook ups there but worth the view. Winding Road is above the Dam Site rv area.

It was a beautiful view and calming environment. The friendly clerk Linda Marie at the shop was so kind and friendly and helped us out as much as possible

It was nice to finally see some water. We're originally from Florida where water is abundant. This place was quite the retrieve for a weekend. All the necessities were available, weather was spot on, and the sites were beautiful. We truly enjoyed the experience.

This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We stayed there recently with our large family. The staff were pleasant and ready to help with our needs. It was nice to be so close to the water. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen came with dishes, some cooking items, microwave and refrigerator. The view of the water was great. It had refrigerated air that was nice to come back to after a full day of playing on the lake. We had a great time. We'll be headed back soon.
