People who work there are great. Jean checked us in and joked with us. Nice clean place. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which was better than expected. See comments below in room section. Pool is heated. Plenty of campsites if you want to tent or bring a camper. It's a camping resort!

Our first stay at Danforth Bay and found that, while being out on the pond was nice, the campground lacked for the price in many ways. Initially, we called to book to get a particular site and ended up having to pay more than the website was displaying, even considering the additional site lock fee. When asking about this, the employee indicated they saw the discrepancy, but there was nothing they could do, as it must be due to demand and the rate fluctuation based upon that, but I could ask the office during our stay. While there, the campground was practically empty and the office staff reported they could not adjust the price and it could only have been done at the time of booking. The showers closest to the lake, which is the most expensive area to book a site, were the worst showers I have seen at any campground, though we found that the showers on the outskirts were much better. There were also golf carts everywhere, which make it nearly impossible to enjoy walking around due to the dust from the dirt roads, the music often being played loud from them, and almost being hit by one at night. Moments of peace at the campsite were intermittent, due to a very loud rock concert being held for several hours our first night, as well as multiple days of them using a backhoe to back drag their dirt roads. We also observed their woods near our site to be littered with beer cans and boxes, in plain view from the road, during our whole stay. Again, for the premium price of this campground, a lot is left to be desired, and we likely would not return for a while.

Golf carts with the zoomies all day and into late night. So if you like the sound of golf carts this is the place for you. I don't find it peaceful or relaxing. Then you have the fire nazi going by on the golf cart every 2 minutes making sure you don't put another log on the fire after you have already been told. I am not some young kid and don't like being treated like one. I'm in my 60s and don't need to be monitored. Showers have nothing in them to put your clothes on. Not even a hook to hang your towel so everything has to go on the floor and some of it ends up getting wet. The sites are a good size. Wish a little more private. The place is clean for the most part and well maintained. Pools were nice. Some of the workers are rude and have alot of attitude and security seems to be on a power trip. Don't need it. Wont be back and I suggest you go somewhere else.

We've been enjoying Danforth Bay since the beginning. A very family oriented camping experience for all age groups. Lake, 2 LG pools, ball field, small BMX area if kids are still into that. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards & a row boat are available to rent either half or full day. Planned activities for the kids and so nice surprise adult activities like ale or wine tasting to break up your day. Above Ossipee and 20+minutes below North Conway and 30 minutes or less to some points in Maine. So much to see and do in this location.

Sites are large and have plenty of woods around them. The campground itself is quite large and a bit difficult to navigate but you can figure it out pretty easy with the map they give you. We used our ebikes a couple days (lots of hills) then rented a golf cart. The cart was nice, we were the first ones to rent it, had 0 hours on it brand new. Store is large and fairly priced.

I don’t typically leave negative reviews but I feel I need to leave a review. Myself, my wife and a bunch of friend’s have been going to Danforth Bay for over 20 years, but now I will never return. Risings costs. Overworked, understaffed, mostly unfriendly, and probably under paid staff. Security guard Carol treats every person she encounters like a prison inmate. She will also follow you around for no reason and harass you and children. The manager Jeremy is running the campground into the ground. With no care what so ever, he suggested to my wife that everybody in my party should cancel if they want to. Mind you, we are 4 different sites that have been coming to Danforth Bay for over 20 years and he could care less. Danforth is driving out their base and long time customers. I’m sure they will soon be experiencing more and more cancellations as the months and years pass by. Their only customers will be a one and done customer who never returns. Stay away from Danforth Bay. They are not the only game in town. There are many other places you can go. Danforth is not loyal to their customers, no longer friendly, and could care less about you and your family.

Stayed 4 nights in April. Being off season, the place was pretty much empty. Nonetheless, the bathrooms were cleaned every day. Good pressure and hot showers. The front desk was on top of it and was ready with anything I needed. Laundry was card or coin operated, reasonably priced and well kept. Rec room had corn hole, a TV, and even study/work rooms. The bathrooms in there were super clean too. Super close is Mary's Mountain, walkable from the campground. Once at the Trailhead, it's a short 0.6 mi hike that is pretty steep in some places. The view is gorgeous!

We absolutely love it here! It’s one of our favorite RV parks. We come in February for snowmobiling and its just beautiful. The staff here are helpful, nice and always available.

We have been trying to get a seasonal for 6 years and are still on a waiting list! Such a great experience and an amazing campground. There is a ton of stuff for the kids to do. We hope the new owners keep the experience of Danforth and the fun keeps going for all. Such a good time. Thank you Danforth!!!

It would be great if I wasn't staying at a site with a crying child.
