It's a great place to have a child's birthday party or a great place to go throw a blanket down and bask in the sun 😁

Wow what a wonderful campground! We stayed in B20, which is the last site on the river. Not much traffic. A few neighbors. Beautiful level site with a nice table, lantern hook and fire pit. Huge dead tree by the river that an eagle visited every day. River access was not easy.

I have loved this park since my childhood. There are plenty of pavilions/picnic tables, camping, a few playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, hiking/mountine bike trails, diskgolf and river access for fishing, The only thing I miss from my childhood was being able to walk out on the dam above the lock to watch the boats come through. I bring my granddaughter and we spend much of the day here.

We finally got to experience a boat going through! Was a pretty cool experience to share with our son! Happened to be there just at the right time. We sat there for about an hour or so waiting and almost gave up when the gate finally opened. Not to mention the beautiful sight of the Arkansas River was great!

It's a quiet park with lots of trees. Each site has a picnic table (some of them are covered) and a fire pit. There's no sewer hookup but they do have a dump station. The bathroom/showers are pretty new but no soap dispenser. There's a public park with play grounds, pavilions, tennis courts, basketball courts and disk golf next door. The only downside is that the flooding in the River valley caused some damage so parts of the park are under construction.
