The grounds guy is kinda mean, he thinks he owns the river and without looking to see if you've paid to drive thru their gate to get to river,he comes sliding in on his four wheeler screaming at you to pay and or get out..I had already paid, I was down there for a few minutes and left. He kinda made me not want to be there . I've been going to that river spot for YEARS MANY YEARS, and now if I go like I did before, id have to pay100 $ a month to go hang out at the river..I thought that you don't own the river up to the high water mark. That you could walk up rivers as long as you stayed below the high water mark. does anyone know if that is true? All of dean creaks river beaches are under the high water mark so as long as you don't go thru d.c property to get to river( by the bridge to the dump is a good spot) he can't say anything to you . This town is going to crap in a handbag . It would be cool to go back to my watering hole again, and not be attacked by someone who isn't even a longtime local. I've been going there since the 1970s, never had a problem til now, it really sucks..but I guess some people have God complexes and enjoy making people miserable. Other than that dean creak rocks! A little over a mile to the Mateel Community Center for events. We had a larger room (6) with kitchenette. There are reg or standard rooms cabins, camping and RV spots. Open year round. Great hosts.

I've been going here for years and have never been disappointed. We stay in the sleeper cabins which are in great condition and always clean. The staff at the store and the staff in general are absolutely awesome. They make you feel so comfortable and their customer service is amazing. I love this place.

We've stayed in their sleeper cabins 4 times over the past three years. The location is close to the freeway but still beautiful and calm, with Eel river swimming hole and pool. They take very good care of their guests here and the office cats, Cashew and Peaches are always up for pets. Sleeper Cabins sleep 4 ( bunk beds), bring your own blankets and pillows ( yes the beds are a little squeaky- earplugs are great), also fridge, microwave and AC. More importantly they have a porch, a bench and a fire pit. They have amenities that we haven't utilized before ( due to time constraints) like a mini golf course, sauna and vintage arcade. It really is a great colorful place to stay either as a destination or a pit stop on your 101 road trip.

It's a Laid Back atmosphere staff was Awesome, caring, and the place was Clean and kept up Beautifully. the pool,sauna,hot tub, miniature gulf, live music on occasions you also have river access. My most favorite we're the Kitty Cat Staff "Cashew" loves pets🐾🐾🐾😸 you won't see any creepy crawlers on this property. outstanding getaway for us Thank You! We will be back.

This is a wonderful place to visit w family and friends from everywhere. Because there's lots of spacious areas to have a good time. There's a pool, horseshoes, miniature golf and access to the eel river directly from the resort.

Two stars for the fact that it was a quick on and off from 101 and has nice river access that would be great in the summer. I had plans of taking a shower here but no way in hell was I using them. By far the grossest bathroom/shower amenities I've ever seen. I wouldn't mind the people that live there full time but their campsites we're dirty and filled with trash. Don't believe I'll ever be returning

The lady at the front desk is amazing,she was the most helpful lady! They are very quiet and clean room! They have great spots to camp! The playground is super cool..

Fantastic location just a couple miles from the south entrance of avenue of the Giants. Right on the eel River and they have a nice little store, friendly check-in, and even some old video games. Our little cabin has seen better days and it appears as if there's quite a few people living here. They were a bit loud And there was quite a bit of shouting and fighting at least for the three or four days we were there
